Everybody has their wish list of lighthouses they would like to see made by Harbour Lights. Please answer the following two questions in regards to what is the closest coast line to your home, and what region do you think needs more new HL releases.

I wonder if this poll will mirror the population demographics of forum participants? Is it surprising for folks to want models of lighthouses near to them? Speculating that they will, by +/- 15%. Side bets? :-)

Guess we'll find out.

In this polling sofware, it's not possible to cross-tabulate one question by another. While it might seem logical that a person would choose more lighthouses from their 'home' area, that isn't necessarily the case for me. I'm closer to the West Coast, but selected more 'Great Lakes' lights.

John,

Depending on how you define home area you did pick your's. If you define home as where you came from originally, as opposed to where it might be now.

Interesting voting so far. Most of the folks seem to be from the East Coast and the vote is leaning for more lights from the East Coast.

I thought there would be more response from the West Coast but not so far. Maybe we should move the headquarters of Younger & Associates to the other side of the country.

You can blame me for that, Daniel. Just one of the many bonus services afforded to FSB posters and readers.

This tune is taken from Kraftwerk's 'The Model'. I've salted a few other threads with music. Can you find 'em. :-)

Lot's of activity here at the FSB, getting ready for cooler weather. Marko is waxing the shoot on the big show blower and we're going for a record this Winter. With a little turbo-tuning he thinks we can hit Point Pastie across the bay!

And stay tuned - if our grant comes through this Spring we'll be opening The Fresnelarium - a real treat for the whole family.

Yes, I can find them, even though I am not looking for them but rather just "running" into them and they are ANNOYING me!!

Leave the tunes out for some of us viewers......please! So much for reading the forums in a public area.

Or have a clickable tune instead of an automatic one.

Just turn the sound off on your computer. I leave my sound off most of the time because I usually check my mail and the CF early in the morning. No sense in waking my bride up at 0500 hours just because I'm up.

>>So much for reading the forums in a public area.<<

Inclusion of the music was not intended to annoy you caveader, some folks seem to enjoy it. I apologize if you were inconvenienced in a public area.

That being said, typically you'll find a small speaker icon in the Windows tray; clicking on this reveals a Mute button. Also as Bob notes, some speakers have a volume control.

Wrt JC's suggestion, it is possible to enable sound through the use of a button. I just wrote a quick little script to test this. If you click the link, leave this page before you click the button.

Unfortunately, the UBB software doesn't allow a user to include Javascript in messages. (Well, technically it doesn't allow specific words or the use of parantheses, which amounts to the same thing.) Thus, adding a 'switch' within a message becomes problematic. Perhaps someone out there can figure a way around the UBB limitation.
