OK, all you seasoned Saints, Cruise Directors, Wackos and Newbies, what do you think of HL coming out with a lot of the small accessory things? Like the Bill Doll. I laughed. I really want it. But I know that someone out there is not very enthused about it. There's also the lobster floats. I, quite frankly, think that they're interesting, but I just don't get it. The Boston Figurines seem to be a continuation of the seemingly quite popular Keepers and Friends. It fits the new GLOW (so it will only work for Tim if it fits the LE too ), but what about the original GLOW? Just curious... Cape Henelopin looks like a great piece, just like the pic that I saw of the actual lighthouse. Round Island Then & Now Seems to be the continuation of the Morris Island pieces, but MUCH cheaper (kinda like combining the Morris Island set and the Panama Canal Set). Could this possibly be a trend towards sets? And to add to Rod's list of "awards" that he added to Bill Harnsberger's (sorry if I spelled that wrong)post. The collectors wanted Ship John Shoal, we're getting it! American Shoals, here it comes! SoL, well, nevermind. That's still kinda sensitive (but I support it ). Finally, the much anticipated Oak Island is going to make its debut, and I kinda think that it looks better than the actual lighthouse. Fort Jefferson finally came, and it looks good! Old Point Comfort looks nice (I really don't know that one) and Haig Point looks nice also (this is the first time I've ever heard of it). Just figured I'd get it going... Jakers

I agree with Jake, the HL Oak Island look better than the real one. As for Haig Point, Sean is right as best I remember. I really want the Round Island And Cape Henelopin pieces, But was really surprised when I saw that they were going to be "Timed Pieces." All I know is that it looks like every one of these will end up in my Curios or Closets. Hopefully more of the former!

I know the money is going to fly out of my purse this year.
I have tried to get up close and personal with Haig Point, but, from the research I did on it, it is a private Bed and Breakfast for a large paper company that owns it. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I had no good fortunate seeing it this summer, but since it is not too remote from me, maybe this year. I do know that you can get a good shot from the water....Anyone have an in?
Oak Island does look good and I agree better than the light itself. Fort Jefferson will look so good with my other FL lights. Derith

Haig Point was restored under the guidance of the William Phillips, the head architect of Colonial Williamsburg. I believe the property was and still is owned by the paper company.
The Certificate does indicate it is a bed & breakfast, but says nothing about it being limited to the paper company's employees. That does seem logical, however.

Of all the new introductions Cape Henlopen is reaching out to me even with those crazy folks standing under it. Call it what you will but it will always be a GLOP in my book/curio.

If I'm gonna buy the Bill doll, I'll want the Nancy doll next, and then their accesories...Kim & Torrey Dawn. Will it be to scale if I put a thumbnail in Bills hands for him to sign, or will I have to buy the rescaled version next year?

I can't wait for the soon to be announced "Bill Doll Christmas Ornament"! Maybe we will get to see the whole family on the tree.

I wonder just how big the Bill doll will be ? My daughter has plenty of Barbie dolls and accessories - I wonder what Bill will look like in an evening gown, sun dress. With the new Bill doll and a digital camera the possibilities are endless. I can hardly wait !

Sorry the Bill doll doesn't do a thing for me. I thought he would be more warm and fuzzy looking (like the real McCoy)!
