I actually thought about doing a new inventory of all my HL's a few days ago. I went to the HL site and was unable to locate the complete history of all HL's ever made. Maybe I was having a brain cramp but I thought it was once available at the HL site. Is it still available elsewhere?

Bob,

You are correct in saying that what you and I are calling History has disappeared from the Harbour Lights Web Site. It's really too bad.

It appears that the Harbour Lights Web Site is continually being downsized. It's getting to the unfortunate point where the site is becoming almost useless.

I remember back when I first started collecting and the History feature on the Harbour Lights Web Site was what really got me involved. Learning about the History and background of the sculptures became almost a passion. Had it not been for that, I sincerely doubt I would have become an avid collector.

What a dang shame.

Anybody have any update on this? I was expecting a list at the Reunion. Maybe if we can get enough Wackos to support this, we can get HL to move it up on there to-do-list.

Are you looking for a product history which would give you a list of everything put out by Harbour Lights, including limited editions, GLOWs, Collectors Society, special editions, etc? Harbour Lights sent me a product history with all products through the 2004 offerings earlier this year. I don't remember why they sent it or what it came with, but they did publish one. It even includes Anchor Bay and the watercolor prints done by Mark Sherman plus the Guardian of the Night lighthouses.

I keep my personal inventory on my computer in Excel that lets me track the flag numbers and price paid for each lighthouse along with the information supplied by Harbour Lights. I also keep an inventory of Anchor Bay, Skybound balloons, ornaments, Pharos collection and all other foreign-made lighthouses, and historic buildings, such as those offered by Lighthouse Depot. I am, therefore, able to total my expenditures at any time and list every lighthouse I have along with how many of each I have. As long as it is updated each time I make a purchase, it is a very easy history to maintain.

I would imagine anyone could contact Harbour Lights and get the same product history they sent me. I personally just took their history and expanded upon it.

Scott

After the reunion, I sent the product history (Excel) sheet to HL for updating - especially the quantities made which have been missing on some pieces for the last few years.

Not sure how long it will take to get the updated information, but I'll post it here when it is available.

FYI: This is the same data file upon which the product search is based.

Bob-

Exactly how much information would you like in the spreadsheet if I am able to send it? I assume you want the list to include all the limited editions, GLOWs, special editions, etc. Do you also want lists of Anchor Bay, Skybound balloons, ornaments, etc.? Please let me know because I will have to delete a lot of the lines for each lighthouse since I have multiples of most of the lighthouses. It will take some time, but if my wife can send it, I will be happy to compile such a list and send it as soon as I finish it. Please let me know if you just want Harbour Lights lighthouses or everything Harbour Lights offers. I will start on the limited editions and compile the HL100s through the HL700s, so let me know if you want more. Thanks, Bob.

No need for you to do any editing, Scott. You can just send me it all, and I'll do all the editing that I need. I'm very thankful for the resource Scott. Thanks for your help.

John, Would you consider sending copies to those who request one? Sure would be great to have one for my files also.

Give me a bit of time until I see whether HL has updated the list. Maybe next Monday?

Whatever happened with this? I don't see any posts after September. I, too, feel I should set up a database for my collection. None of my kids wants the durned things and one of my daughters will have to dispose of it eventually. It would be a lot easier if I set up a comprehensive inventory. I think the product list Scott refers to is the listing we used to get each time we renewed our membership - "used to" is the operative term here. I'm not sure I received one with my last renewal - lot of stuff still packed up high until hurricane season is over!

I sent the spreadsheet on to HL to be brought up to date about a month ago. Rachel said it will have to wait until the next round of introductions.

Those should happen in early December. If the creek don't rise.

It would be really nice to have an updated spread sheet. I'm afraid I will have to re-inventory everything I have because I haven't been doing a good job on what I have bought and sold over the last year or so. I have many doubles and triples that need to be logged in so I can have an accurate list to refer to if anyone wants to purchase something.

Yes, I'm still buying and selling but most of the deals are going through private emails. I think I've made quite a few people smile this year.

Hey all,
Does anyone have an up to date spreadsheet?
I haven't keep up HL database up to date in regards to retirement dates. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS) anyone else notice in the December Legacy that some previously reported retired pieces are being retired again? Or am I crazy?
