I'd like to compile a list of the little bonus things that Harbour Lights has included in lighthouse and Anchor Bay boxes over the years. Of course there is the Certificate of Authenticity and the Join-The-Society card and the little display (tent) card. But I'm looking for the items that were included in the box OTHER than those.

This isn't a contest, just a chance for several people to post a reply here. So the maximum number can participate, please just add one item, even if you know more. {Boy that's just KILLING Rod!}

I'll start with the 'First Day of Issue' stamps of the Great Lakes from 1995 - included when you bought the set of five with matched numbers.

You don't need a picture. There's a good chance we have one and if so, I'll add it to your message.

Well Since I just happened to be the first person here, I'll do an easy one. The Book "Lighthouses and Legends of the Hudson," that was a gift for buying Tarrytown light.

We recently bought a Grays Harbor variation that had a Beavertail Thumbnail inside the box, does that count? Anyone else have a similar experience? Darlene

Must have been from a secondary dealer?

I have a stamp that came with my Sandy Hook. The HL card says it is a bicentennial 1789-1989 US Lighthouses Commemorative Stamp.

Not with an HL, but we got those key chains for entering the contest earlier in the year. 'Course some of us got prizes too!

Yea, I was one of the ones who got a free HL certificate when I purchased "Big Sable", the only problem was that the certificate had expired!

Good work, friends... but there are more 'extras' out there.

The Portland Glow that first came out in 1996? is the first mold, later revised and re-released this year. It is this revised one that includes Paul Brady's great photo of the lighthouse. And the lettering again began at "A". This is the same thing that happended with Barnegat and Southeast Block -- the lettering reverted to "A" again when the mold was changed.

SOL also had a bronze medallion (coin)
The CofA was just a small piece of paper, not the usual fold over with the history inside.

Old Field also came with a small card explaining why the piece you got didn't look like the brochure photo (change in trees.)

Ocracoke came with a small card explaining that "Yes, the railing was askew" Because that's the way it is on the real lighthouse.

Bald Head came with a card that explained that the lantern room wasn't centered on top because that's the way it really is on the lighthouse.

Which piece was it that you got the Hereford Inlet thumbnail in? I think it was a Society version of a Collectors Reunion piece -- 1998? or 2001?

Moving Hatteras--Relocating the Cape Hatteras Light Station to Safety booklet included with sculpture

HL 710, Hereford Inlet, NJ
1" diameter metal coin included with sculpture

Somewhere along the line, I received a booklet containing historical data on 50 lighthouses and "frames" for adhesing cigarette cards. Some of the cards were included with lighthouses purchased over the years from both Harbour Lights and eBay. I have obtained 21 of the 50 cards.
