I was standing in line at the St Augustine Harbour Light signing event waiting for Bill to sign my lighthouses. Then Bill did something that I would have never expected. He started to put my lighthouse away without signing it. I told Bill what he did and laughing asked him if this was his first signing. Bill said actually this is my first signing of the year. When Bill said that my mind started to race and I looked over all the lighthouses that was on display to sell. I noticed that there was no May Port light. I then asked Bill if he had signed anybodies May port light yet. Bill said NO. I told Bill what ever you do don’t sign anybodies till I bring back mine. I was originally keeping my May Port for the Jacksonville event, but when I realized that I could have a “first signed” I rushed back to the van and brought out my May port to be signed. I finally did it. I got my double digit with the writing “First Signed”.
The reason that no one had any May Ports was that the UPS truck that was going to deliver them that day never showed up.

Good for you Daniel! Never knew about the "First Signed" signature! Just goes to show that you can always learn something new on the Forums!

I learned about the "first signed" from this forum also. Being so late for the signing I didn't even figure I had a chance for one.
This is an other example of how this fourum gives it collectors an edge over non-forum collectors.
