Just curious why Harbour Lights doesn't number the event pieces. The issue size obviously wouldn't have to be on the piece, but the pieces still could be numbered sequentially as they are manufactured. After all, they are limited editions. If the pieces were numbered it would be much easier to have an idea of the complete count for the issue. Also, it seems strange that the sticker for Kilauea Point doesn't show the issue number of 622.

Also since the event piece normally precedes Bill Y or a dealer rep when Bill isn't available (despite popular opinion BY is only one person).,
There would be all kinds of screaming that other parts of the country had their signings first and got the low numbers. There is no way that HL could schedule these things and please most everyone.

You can't please all of the people all of the time. And you certainly can't please some persons (no specific individuals intended) any of the time., which would make HL scheduling job not 'nigh on to' but 'completely' impossible.

Fred, you are right (as usual). Since Bob's untimely passing, Bill is only one person now, and all those visits that Bob use to fill in for have to be covered by Bill. Maybe all those rumors about a thinner Bill mean that younger brother Brett is taking up some of that slack. What do you think?

I think you should stop drawing to those inside straights.

Numbers?

You want a number on your Kilauea?

Sanford Sharpie Ultra Fine Permanent Marker -- under a buck at most office supply places.

Take your pick of these numbers:

345, 984, 1804, 4389

Once you've 'corrected' your Kilauea, send in a registration card to HL with the number. If you have duplicated another number that's already taken by another collector, you'll get a post card asking you to add a letter prefix "A984" etc.
