Well folks, do you think the frenzy of the fresnel lens has stopped? If you follow the auctions at eBay you will notice things have certainly slowed down there on the available FLs.

It seems a few are still on eBay but are not drawing many bidders. Most of the bids are just above the actual retail price.

A short time ago it appeared that a few buyers were buying up what they could probably speculating future worth. I must admit it got quite exciting for a while. What happens now that things have ground to a halt?

Hi Bob... as you are aware, I have been keeping up with the Fresnels closely since they first reared their pretty head on eBay. Since early November 2000, over 70 Fresnels have been sold on eBay, the highest selling for $292.50 and lowest so far at $100.00. It has been a rush from the very beginning as the "Fresnel Frenzy" hit the market. Now that it has slowed to a snail's pace, and some diligent collectors are finding them on shelves, value is tapering. Like anything else, I'm sure their worth will rise a bit in the future, albeit slowly.
