How many of you are going to collect the LLs?
I saw them for the first time last week - really neat !

My retailer just called & said that the set is on its way along with a second box containing the "dealer" display kit. I just can't wait.

I'm still waiting for them to get to New Jersey. I keep checking, but no one has them yet. I'll probably buy them, but I want to actually see them first. I could buy them from several places on the net, but I'd like to hold them first. And I'd like to support my local dealers also. Dennis

I must honestly say I have no intentions of collecting the LLOM. I would consider buying certain ones to give as gifts. Even with my new addition, I just don't have the room to properly display all my HLs. I feel bad that many of my HLs just remain in their boxes in my cellar. The tough part comes when I make a new purchase and want to display that HL...which one of the ones currently on display will have to go back in the box and be sent to the cellar storage area?

I guess there are worse problems to deal with like where am I going to set up all these Lionel Trains I've been buying!

Life is good! Play hard!

Nope, no TLLOM for me.

I think I have extended myself far enough trying to collect all of the LE's, and as Bob states above, space is fast becoming a factor.

I have also dedcided to collect the Pharos series. For the cost of the first "Little Lights", I will be able to buy the first five Pharos releases.

The LL are very nice. I like them and think they should sell well for Harbour Lights. They just won't be selling any to me.

Wanted, free box storage. Must be safe secure and climate controlled....

I'm going to wait and see them before I decide what I want to do. I may collect them all (Called getting in on the ground floor, which I didn't do with the LE's) or I may just stick with New England and those that really strike my fancy. Who knows? Time will tell and they still haven't arrived in New England yet. Might just collect them for my Grandaughter who loves Highthouses as she calls them. She's only two and already loves the lighthouses and Ppapa's trains. Great to have someone to share my collection and hobbies with!

I've seen the LL's and they're quite good (as one would expect from HL); however, I won't be buying. As others have said, display space is at a premium and the line has to be drawn somewhere. Too many LE's are still in their boxes in the closet for lack of space to display them.

I hadn't even heard of the "Spyglass Collection" until my birthday came around last November....then a box arrived with two sets including the "New England " and "Southern Belle" Series. Boy, was I shocked and surprised. My brother and sister-in-law sent them to me from Wichita, Kansas. I'm surprised that the Lighthouse Depot in Wells, Maine or the "Lighthouse Gallery" in Nags Head, North Carolina haven't featured them, yet. I'm still not sure, however, that I'll go out and buy them. But, anytime anyone wants to send'em to me as a gift I certainly won't turn them away....LOL!

I too will be passing on the LL's...I saw some of them at a dealer the other day and just wasn't that impressed with them...I do, however, like the Spyglass sets and would continue to buy them (assuming HL will continue to produce them)...

TLLOM's are not for me. LE's take all the space and money I have for a hobby.

We are still on a mission to collect the LE's. Adding to the collection is as much fun as visiting the lighthouses.

Note to Sean: Is that an original Assateague in the third photo? Lucky you!

We plan to pick up the LL's of lights we have visited but may end up getting them all as they are nice. Having said that, acquiring the remaining 6 LE's we need to complete our
collection is still our first priority.

We plan to get the Pharos collection as well.

I will reserve decision until I see the little ones at my dealer.

However, I'm leaning towards a no except for gifts. I have resisted collecting any HLs other than the LEs. No Spyglass, minis or ornaments. Only two GLOWS: Stamp series.

Space for display also at a premium at our house. So far all LEs are out of boxes but that may have to change soon. Another curio,
PLEASE!

I saw the Little Lights yesterday while at the dealer. Imho, some seemed to be more detailed than others. I have a very small curio, meant to hang on the wall. I picked up Nauset and New London Ledge. Doubt I'll get them all but will probably buy enough to fill this small curio. And buy the ones that I can't afford to buy as LE's.

I saw the entire set this weekend. They're nice...but I won't be collecting them. However, I do intend to buy the Pharos series.

I will definetly buy a few LLOM's to dislay in the office at work. I confess to having a couple of Spoontiques on the desk which I will be replacing since the HL's are much better quality.

Would love to dipsplay an LE or a GLOW but it wouldn't survive!!

Not here, thanks. I need to concentrate on the LE's and AB's for the time being. As the old saying goes....."Too many Offerings...Too Little Space"

I will be buying these pieces. Saw them in a store just the other day. They are nice with a lot of detail. Priced right too! I think sooner or later they will put Spoontiques out of business!

I will probably only buy them for gifts. I need all the money I can get together for the LE's. Maybe if I win the lottery or something.

I finally saw them in the flesh, so to speak, this afternoon. I thought i would like them and I do. I decided to make my wife happy as she just said the other day she is afraid to buy anything for me because I've probably already got it. I gave her the brochure and told her to spead the word - I want them, I don't have them and my birthday is just ariund the corner. Ialso plan on buying them as gifts for people- like getting them one near home. This way I can spead the fever and get another Wacko going. Dennis PS This has nothing to do with the topic but- either i'm a slacker or Dale needs to get a life. Check out the numbers

Might buy a few for gifts, but I did buy ST. Augustine for myself, since that is the light that got me started.

I admit to having purchased 2 TLLOM at this time- Split Rock and Portland Head. Why? I'm still new to the game- only collecting HL for about 1 year now and will probably never get to own LE of these two. Also, when I went by my HL dealer, I saw how nicely they were done and couldn't resist them. I think that I actually heard voices from the display case ("buy me, buy me"). I am a pharmacist and I can get medications to stop the voices (but who wants to?). I will probably not collect the entire set (not enough $$ to even get all the LE) but I will certainly collect a few. I got my first really good look at Spoontiques last weekend and I still am impressed with the quality of HL products.

Keep on looking, Chris. The Portland Head is scarce, but the Split Rock LE is still available at very reasonable prices (Around $100 or even less -- the last one I saw sell on eBay went for under $60). Watch the Marketplace Forum and contact secondary dealers. Be sure to keep an eye on Retired@Retail , too. Good luck.

No LLOM for me I have three curios full of LE's and another one on the horizon. But they will be fun to give as gifts that might inspire a new HL collector.

I've yet to see the LLOM. Maybe I should get out more often. I do visit various stores in my area but I haven't seen any displays of the LLOM yet.

The wife wants "ALL of em" like I expected... but I think we will probably just get the ones that we have seen. And since we are going to the Outer Banks in May, we have to save up some money. What we don't spend on food and gas is going on future purchases of the lighthouses of NC.

I got a good deal on the whole set on ebay.It was aproximately 30% off the total price and it included S&H. I did not even "officially" win on ebay as I did not meet the reserve, but I got an email with the offer and I took it. I've got them on top of the entertainment center in my LR along with my "other" non Harbor Lights lighthouses. They look better than all the other giftware that I've seen and the price was right. I saw the LLOM today at the Olde Nautical Shoppe in Clearwater, FL. Yes I will buy the LLOM. Bob M is correct (Life is Good).

Hi All !! Just wanted to remind everyone that the first batch of LLs had a problem with the bottom labeling. HL said that there were gonig to be changes to the next batch.

Maybe someone can update us on the current status.

No LLs. Limited funds plus I see greater enjoyment and value in sticking exclusively with LE, low number LE New England items plus LE classics like St. Augustine.

I'm afraid there are no LL's for me. With limited display space and money, I rather buy LE's. I can buy one LE for the price of three or four LL's.
