I think what Terry was asking is:

How many of those HLs that originally cost over $99 -- are still worth that much or more on the secondary market?

I don't believe that assessing the actual value of these lights at this time is a true indicator of their future worth. Prices are down right now and many collectors are "thinning" their collections at some very reasonable prices.

Edition size will determine the worth over or under retail pricing in the future. The lesser amount available, the more likely the actual worth will increase. Everything depends on the popularity of the Harbour Lights line and communication between collectors who seek them. It's one of those supply & demand things. I got it, you want it, and you will pay for it. If too many people have it and you want it, then you will look for the lowest price by contacting the weakest link.

Bob what got me to wondering about this was the increased edition number for the newest lens. When does HL determine what the edition size will be? I know if a piece isn`t going to sell out that they can stop production or if there is a problem with a piece. I don`t think this will be the case with the lens, but it is quite a jump in number size.

I know this is a wild guess on my part, but I believe that someone in marketing has seen how quickly the others lens' disappeared and are disappearing and they have projected what Fresnel Lens 4 will do, and I think they are on target. These babies seem to be very popular with collectors. Just a guess, but MAYBE
