After I have made 3 different moves in the past couple of years, some of the autographed bookplates for The Official Collectors Guide to Harbour Lights have recently surfaced and are available for a donation to the Thomas Point Lighthouse.

Here's a chance to make a small $5 donation to support the Thomas Point Lighthouse and receive the 'finishing touch' to your copy of the Guide imprinted with your name:

To get the funds to Thomas Point in this calendar year, you'll need to place your order and mail your check or money order to arrive in Phoenix AZ by December 26. A limited number of bookplates have surfaced.

As an incentive to act now, one order will be selected at random to receive a rare 3" pin-back button created for the September 14, 2007 Thomas Point Lighthouse Screwpile Dedication event.

Only 50 of these unique buttons were created for those attending the invitation-only event at Annapolis MD.

Click here to see the details and place your order .

100% of the proceeds from this project go to Thomas Point Lighthouse/USLHS.

N.B. Post #12000 for me on the Collector Forums (see below)

I see that the above post was my 12,000th one here on the Collector Forums.

Must be some prize associated with that milestone?

It's been a joy! Lots of friends made along the way. Some are still around, some have moved on. Remarkably just three have passed on to that Curio in Heaven.

Lots of memories of Reunions in 1997, 1998, 2001, 2005 and of all the gatherings associated with Rosemont shows and Regional Events.

And, of course, associations with Bill and Nancy, Kim, Harry and their extended families and with Don and Tony, who are carrying the Harbour Lights banner high despite these economic times.

All of the above led me in early 2006 to propose, to create and to edit the Official Guide to Collecting Harbour Lights. It was Don who had the foresight and who took the risk to put the idea into print.

And my 12,001st post can't go without mentioning my 12+ year friendship with my partner in the Collector's Guide, Paul Brady. Thanks Paul. And thanks to all.

And I would like to thank you again for doing the Collector's Guide. I love it!! It has helped me to get organized and it is fun to look at.

Sorry, there is not one in the plans at this time.

If there is enough interest, after the first of the year, I will publish a PDF updating the tables that appear in the back of the book.

Please record my interest in your updating the tables. Any form of update would be a welcome addition to this wonderful Harbour Lights resource.

Probably the last day to get your order in so that your Thomas Point donation makes it before the end of the year.

Small number of bookplate orders so far; odds of winning that rare button will probably be better than 1 in 20. I sold one on eBay earlier this year for $68.
