I found a charter for Wolf trap and new point comfort. The cost is $350.00 for 6 people ($60.00 a person) He will give 2 trips one in the morning about 10:00 (unless this group can get up early and make it there in 1 1/2 hr) and another at a time not chosen yet (depneds on arrival of people on Friday)maybe 1:30. I will be going on the morning trip and need 4 people to join me. I need a 25% deposit to give to him at the end of the month. If we do not make it the deposit is lost. We will also need to collect a tip for him. I will collect the rest of the money the 2nd week in May. The boat is in Mathew County.

Email me at fra02441@msn.com subject Wolftrap if you ar interested.

Fran,

Looks like you found an impressive way to go lighthousing by boat! You ought to borrow the boat and bring it on down to Portsmouth for the weekend!

Pretty cool, Fran. If I didn't want to get to the Outer Banks so badly, I definitely would join you.

That vessel looks like an oldie but a goodie. How old is it? Has it been recently restored?

Sorry have been sick all weekend. The boat is a wooden moteryacht built in 1959. "we keep her in top condition" That is what Monty The Capt. Told me. So far I have gotten a total of 4 for the morning, need 2 more people. One definite for the afternoon. Lots of interest but if you did not tell me book me I did not consider it a positive. I will send an email out tonight to those who are absolutely sure thst they are on the list. The Chamber of Commerce gave him a thumbs up.

Fran,

Stan and I are a definite IF the afternoon one is no earlier than 2 PM. It'll take us 9 hours of travel to get to Mathew County from here. Let me know if 2 PM is doable, whether you get the 6 people needed for an afternoon trip, and where to send the money.

I'm still interested Fran. I'm still checking if it's feasible to get there by 2pm. (400 miles +) I'm just back from SC and will need a few days to get organized. I appreciate you're setting it up. Where exactly is the boat? Mathew County doesn't do it for me?

Way to go, Fran! I would have gone on this, but I just could not pass up the chance to get to the Outer Banks - Judy has a great itinerary for the day. Needless to say, I cannot wait.

Hey Fran, I could pull up Port Haywood but not the street on AAA, Yahoo map and Map Quest, so we may need dirctions for the last part of the drive to the harbor.

Spoke to captain this morning and determined address to use for MapQuest, etc. is:

Horn Harbor Marina, Inc.
710 Route 710
Port Haywood, VA 23138

I had no difficulty with the MapQuest site after keying in that address. Apparently Route 710 is Railway Road.

Thought Fran was leaving her husband - but "tom" is not his name. Kept wondering who "tom" was but couldn't make sense of Fran's entry that way. Finally dawned on me that it's her abbreviation for "tomorrow"!! confused
