You have until May 20th to order your pins. Just click the link in the first post in this thread and it will take you to our website which contains the order form. You can either use PayPal or mail a check. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

Darlene: Just wanted you to know that I have sent off a check to you for 3 WACKO pins. Sure didn't want to miss out on this very unique 5th Anniversary Pin for my collection. It will be a real collectible as it reflects 5 years of hard work by the Wacko Pin Committee to continue the tradition of Forum members raising funds to aid in a specific lighthouse restoration project each year.

This was the original Wacko identification emblem. It has now become a proud emblem for anyone who participates in the Forums, be they old timer or newcomer; and can also be purchased and worn by non-Forum members who just love lighthouses and want to support our efforts to preserve them and Keep the Flames Burning.

Any newcomers, please note that the Wacko Pin is NOT the same as the name badge. The badge is a newer emblem meant for identifying those who attend Harbour Lights and forum activities. So far the funds raised by both projects have been donated to the same lighthouse per year, to create an even larger donation from the group. Forum members nominate and vote each spring on which lighthouse made by HL they think should be the recipient of the pin and badge funds.
You really need to order both a badge AND a Wacko Pin so as not to be left out. This generosity on your part will be appreciated by both fundraiser groups here.

It is fun to buy one pin to wear, and another one to place in your display cabinet next to the lighthouse being featured on the pin. This year's image is Esopus Meadows, and hopefully a lot of you have that HL piece in your collection. Or maybe you also have a display ribbon hanging on the wall, as I do, where I pin the HL tin badges, extra Wacko pin, and other lighthouse pins.

I want to thank this year's hardworking committee for finishing up the project which I started. Severe health problems made it impossible for me to continue; and Darlene graciously offered to take over, along with the dedicated work of Dennis Whelan and Ruthie Cooper, and advisor Lamar Bevil. Please show your appreciation to them for continuing this worthwhile project, by ordering pins before our deadline. We do have to meet a minimum order requirement.

I just ordered my two (2) pins and paid by PayPal. I also farwarded an email about the pins to several friends who also Love Lighthouses, but are not HL collectors. So maybe some will order also.

Hey Everybody it's getting towards that magic deadline of May 20th.

Time to put your order in for this year's 5th Anniversary Edition of the Wacko Pin.

This is a nice way to raise funds for a Lighthouse in need and at the same time get something that looks nice on you or in your display of Lighthouses and related items.

I've even seen some people adorn their Wacko Badge with prior Wacko Pins on their lanyards. Then you get double the pleasure os assisting Lighthouses and easy recognition by other Wackos.

Remember you don't have to be an Official Wacko or even a member of the HL collectors Forums to purchase the Wacko Pin. Tell your friends and neighbors. This year's pin is a winner.
