I wonder if this little guy is following us down the coastline.. This is about the fewest people we have ever run into on the pier at grand Haven.. I only had to wait until two people disappeared behind the light and a jogger cleared the Pier Light towards shore.. Some more leaf peeping..

A quick stop at Holland Lighthouse from the State Park side.. I think he was studying how crooked the railing is along the waterway.. Big Red is missing one thing... The flag wasn't flying when we were there and it wasn't windy.. The Mums that the club planted last Fall around the platform we installed are doing real well this Fall.. I went up to check out what is left to do around the stairs and to scope out another project that we will plan for next Spring to make it possible for visitors to finally, safely visit the lanternroom atop the lighthouse..

The weather was really getting overcast as we left Old Michigan City Lighthouse for lunch just across the waterway at Swing Belly's A few of the day lilies are still in bloom alog the walk at the lighthouse.. Looking back at the Michigan City Pier Light from Swing Belly's parking lot.. This is sort of what I felt like after the 11 day and 2,450 mile lighthousing round trip... We are home in Indy after a Great trip together, "It just doesn't get any better than this!"

Great pictures again Paul. One question though, How do you get those seagulls to pose so nice? Bert

Paul, I noticed that the pier was dry at Grand Haven. Most photos that I have seen, including my own, the concrete is wet from the waves. Looks like calm weather that day.
