Hey Folks!
For those curious, I was at Cape Henry yesterday. They let us in without any problem, they just need to see photo ID. I went in the gate just south of the towers.

We visited Cape Henry a couple years ago and really enjoyed both the Lights.
Glad you were able to get to see them.

I should probably add that they need photo ID from everyone in your vehicle- not just the driver...
