I've been working a job in Elkton, MD for the past two months, and my drive to work takes me through Havre de Grace every morning. A couple times a week, I just marvel at the autumn sky and the beautiful sunrise and kick myself for not getting up earlier and going to Concord Point on my way. This Wednesday, when I realized the clocks were changing and I'd be driving to work an hour after sunrise soon, I dragged my lazy butt out early. Luckily, it was the best of the three days I had left, even though I never really saw the sun rise, because of the layer of clouds.

If you have ever been there and enjoyed the view from the little pier, Isabel took that away:

It looks like they have retrieved much of the Promanade, now they just need to reassemble it all:

On my way home, I drive past the road to Turkey Point. And with the clocks changing, I'll be doing that closer to sunset. Time to get my hiking boots and flashlight out.

Thanks for sharing the quick narration and the great photos, Larry. I wish I had a light a little bit closer than I do, and I would probably try to catch some great early morning photos.

I'm usually up very early. Today I was up at 0345 hrs. The old "bod" hasn't turned the clock back yet.

The problem with me hitting the area lights early is I have to be at work by 0700 hours. A trip to an area light would be okay but the return trip would find me in very heavy commuter traffic with many delays.

Great pictures Larry. YOu do make an interesting point about getting up and getting out if you want to get sunrise or sunset pictures. I've got to do that one of these days.

Thanks for those early morning photos, Larry!

I'm still amazed at how much damage Isabel did to the lights in that area. And to think that the Maryland Challenge was just one week earlier!
