I will be traveling to Gulf Shores AL in March then on into Fl. I visited Lighthouse Friends website and got history and driving directions and times that it is open. Is there some insider information that is important to know or do you think I might have it all?

Pam, You may be able to climb the Pensacola Lighthouse on your trip as well. The web site is http://www.pensacolalighthouse.org/index.html I know the web site say's " Open to the Public May thru October, Saturdays Noon to 4:00". But those dates and times have been extended. So contact them for information for the dates that you will be in Gulf Shores. If your going to be around for a couple of day's let me know and I'll try to come over for a visit with you. Oh and you've got to eat at the "Shrimp Basket" while your there in Gulf Shores!
