I found a very nice and inexpensive book about the history of Split Rock Lighthouse. It is part of the Minnesota Historic Sites Series. It is magazine sized, has many historic black & white photos, diagrams, maps, and color photos. It only cost $7.50 and shipping was free. I found it and other lighthouse stuff and information at the following website: www.lakesuperioronline.com

After seeing many lighthouses over the past 10 years, Split Rock is my favorite. Just a "little" far out of the way for most, it was worth the visit!!!
