Like all lighthouse seekers, Lorna and I paid a visit to Cape Neddick aka Nubble Light after the Bill Event at the LHD a couple of weeks ago.

Armed with my trusty digital camera, I took several shots to add to my collection. I also learned something about Nubble Light that I never saw on previous visits. If it wasn't pointed out to me, I would have never know it was there.

A Boat House! (Look to your left and you will see it.)

This shot was done quickly to avoid people walking in front of me. There were lots of folks milling around on the rocks pretty much doing the same thing I was. We even had a family group put one of their loved one's ashes into the sea while we were there.

This I consider the typical shot taken by many visitors who try to get the whole rocky island into one frame without a wide angle lens.

This is somewhat of a different view which makes the island disappear. I noticed it as Lorna and I left Fox's Lobster Hut after dinner. I grabbed the camera and took a few pics from this different angle. Many good photographers will tell you, "Don't be afraid to move your feet." Right, Paul?

Looks like when you 'move your feet' you should move 'em to the right, Bob.

Nice photos as always.

I just looked at my Nubble pictures from a few years ago. I took a shot similar to your last one Bob. But I kept to the right! I also had to Photoshop a van out of the picture!

(how do you like that? I used Photoshop as a verb!)

I've been to Nubble dozens of times and never noticed the boat house. Now I have another reason to back, even though I don't need one. My sister-in-law summers near Nubble so I get there quite often. I've been down to the rocks to the right, but never to the left. Thanks for pointing that out Bob. Next time there I'll have to go see the boat house.

Nice pictures!

Shoot, when we were there in April I didn't go left or right! My two visits to that area were 20 years apart. If I wait that long again I'll be lucky to still be able to move my feet! Thanks for these shots Bob! smile

Hey Randy, ...Back here on the east coast is a great place to be. There are plenty of lights to visit within reasonable driving distances.

Although this will never happen, (who said never say never?), I would love to see an HL Reunion up in Maine. Best lobsters in the world come from these waters! Beautiful coast lines, etc!

I would love to see a reunion in Maine. I think that Maine has one of the most beautiful coastlines anywhere. But where in Maine would it be? I Missed the regional in New Jersey this year, but am definitely looking forward to next years. Hopefully in MAINE!!
