Orange shirt? Hmmm..... Whenever I see an orange shirt I think Prisoner, So I am guessing some sort of work release program. But it looks like the back of young Jakers, having said that What is Stephen in prison for?

BTW, did you tell him about the snakes and alligators in that swamp?..... I didn't think so

Is that back-pack loaded with ice cold frosty lagers? Lighthousing can make a person very thirsty at times.

smile Bob smile

P.S. I concur with Mark. That's Jakers.

If you look closely at the first picture you can easily read Syracuse University on the shirt.

I concur that it must be Stephen- or a very strange coincidence.

Hmmm...there was a sign just outside the city of Hudson which read "Hudson Correctional Facility"!

Didn't see those snakes and gators but there was some sort of slimey critter I flicked off my leg on the return trip.

No frosty lagers Bob, when lighthousing with The Kid. But I did have one when I got home which wasn't until 8:45pm!

Here\'s the view through the prisoner\'s viewfinder:

(Scroll down to the bottom). The photo of Hudson-Athens was also another one taken Saturday.

Boy, he didn't take long to get those sticker photos to you John! I already told Jakers that I want half of all his nickels for getting him to the lights!

Here's a few more without the jailbird.

Hudson Athens:

Saugerties slightly tilted:

Saugerties from the other side with half the boat house and the lightening rod once again cut off:

You really need a wide angle lens for this one as you're so close.

Perhaps Jakers will post some more photos along with the story of our trip which he's threatened to do.

So far we've been to Oswego, Selkirk, Sodus Point, Charlotte-Genesee, Braddock Point and yesterday these two. All return trips for me but all new lights for The Kid.

I caught him on my Buddy List last night -- about 1 AM his time -- and twisted his arm to send me the photos. [Didn't take a lot of twisting. smile ]

Others who want to IM with Jakers can add Fresnel10 to their AOL or AIM buddy list.

I know he values the contact from his Lighthouse Fiends and especially Mombo's field trips a great deal.

I guess you got that right John! smile

Spending a day with Jakers is always fun. We were able to get away for a day the past two weekends as he had two 3 day weekends in a row because of holidays. From now through the end of his first semester he will be quite busy with his studies so may not be able to spend as much time on the computer with his "lighthouse fiends" not to say that he wouldn't welcome the contact. We are hoping to squeeze in another short trip or two before the snow flies. I leave that up to him as only he knows when he can take the time off without sacrificing his study time.

Hmmm, now that you mention it Bob, I can think of at least one lighthouse on the agenda where that sort of fancy footwork might be required. I'll have him put on a lifejacket before I send him out on the ice! laugh
