These are pictures that I took on Mother's Day weekend. It was raining, slightly foggy, and fairly dark. The light was so bright that it apparantly made the sky look like dusk.

I had to post this picture-it reminds me of surfmen. My husband(Greg) and my grandson Lucas looking out over Michigan in search of ships.

A great picture of Rawley Point from the beach(not so great picture of me)

Thanks Eric! I am disappointed though that I didn't compensate for how bright the beam actually was! I was just SO excited because this is the first lightat night that I have truly experienced. I was awed by how it just sliced through the dark and the fog like a knife. I couldn't find any 800 speed film for the occasion so next time I'll know to adjust. The only other lights that I have seen at night are the ones in Duluth and Whitefish Point. Of course I was all set for my photo shoot at Whitefish Point and wouldn't you know...the light was burnt out and they were waiting on the Coast Guard tender!!!!
