I've never been called a "newbie" before; but I guess I are one now.
I've often visited this site and find it to be very informative. Now I can join in.
My wife and I are Avid collectors of harbour Lights we currently have 55 in our collection. We try to see the ones that we have or are planning to get.
We are attempting to plan a short notice trip to Maine next month on the 12th. Any advise on where to begin would be greatly appreciated. We will fly into Portland, unless we should begin elsewhere,on the 12th and depart on the 17th.
Forgive me for beginning this forum with a favor, but I really could use the suggestions.
Thanks a hillbilly bunch.
Rick

Rick- In Portland you are in L/H heaven as far as being near so many. Depends on which direction and how "wacko" you are in L/H viewing. We did the whole New England coast last year and suggest two guides. "Maine Lighthouses" by Courtney Thompson and "America's Atlantic Coast Lighthouse:A traverer's Guide" by Kenneth G. Kochel. both give good directions to the L/H's.
Good Luck with you trip.It is a wonderful area for L/H viewing.
