Dunkirk Lighthouse, NY






One of the Buffalo Bottle Lights displayed on the Dunkirk grounds..


We arrived after the gates were closed so all of the above images were shot while sticking my camera between the bars and finding wholes between the trees in the foreground..

The first time I was at Dunkirk, I had to do that. Last time, Marianne and I spent the night nearby and took the tour the next morning. Much better photos.

Watch out for the construction in Buffalo, if you are going that way.

They weren't opening until 10AM and we had plans for lunch with a long time friend in Auburn, NY. My connection is to weak to load images so it may be a couple days before I can up date.. I am going to try and upload an image I shot from my hotel room balcony tonight..

Great photos! I did the same trip about this same time last year. There are lots of lighthouses to see. It was nice to see your photos to remind me of my travels.
