That's the problem with living in Arizona, everything like this is so far away. Sounds like a great time. Wish I could be there too!

I won't be able to make it either guys. I can only take the drive down to Maryland so often that I have to pass this one up this year. It's too close to Christmas to drive down and then turn around and drive back down in a couple of weeks.

I like the pictures John.
The trip I took to southern MD turned out to be a rainy one a couple of summers ago. The pictures are not exactly thrilling. The highlight of the trip was not the pictures of the lights I took but the 2 turtles I ended up having to pull off to the side of the road for and rescue. Poor things would have been crushed with the way people were driving that day.

Way to Go Shirin. Most people wouldn't think of taking the time to rescue wildlife like that. But with so many people here on the forums that take time for lighthouse preservation, I am not surprised there are those like you that just plain care about God's creatures.

Well, prior to my obsession with lighthouses it was turtles so I just had to stop. The first one was a good size fella and I am sure could have caused an accident if someone decided to swerve around him and the second was so tiny he just had to have a longer life.

I am with you sweetpshirin I always stop for turtles in the road. I have moved a lot of them over the years including big snapping turtles. My friends have learned to look for them also if they are with me.

Just keep moving them, they need help just like anyone else.

I'd feel too guilty not moving a turtle once I came home. I have too many staring back at me from my collection!
