Here's some photos that I took on our little cruise out of Waterrford, CT on the Sumbeam Fleet.

Esther and I took my mother along with us and met her brother Mike and his wife Mary at the dock.

The trip runs about 4 hours and takes you by 12 Lighthouses along the coast of CT or out in the LI Sound in NY waters.

You start by taking about 45 minutes to get to the first 2 Lighthouses- Lynde Point and Saybrook Breakwater.

Here's a shot of each of them-

Saybrook Breakwater-

Lynde Point-

You can see the house that Katherine Heprurn lived in from here. I don't have a pnoto of that, though.

We motored on and got to our next stop which was out in the LI sound. We arrived at Plum Island and Orient Point. The ferry from New london was in the areawhen we got there but the photos I have with it in it are not that good.

Here's a shot of each of these NY Lighthouses.

Orient Point-

Plum Island-

You can see some of the new stone that has been placed in front of Plum Island to protect it from erosion.

We continued on our way and stopped next at Little Gull Island Lighthouse.

Here's a photo of it-

We continued on our way into the Race and got some nice views of Race Point Lighthouse.

We sailed on along into the sound and our next stop was North Dumpling Lighthouse.

Here's one shot of it to finish up Part 1 of this trip. This shows one view of the lighthouse.
