Took a ride down to Beavertail Light, Jamestown, RI, earlier this morning. Here are a few pics taken from the front:

HI BOb,

SOme of your pictures didn't come out in part 1. THe first one did come out and its a great shot. I'm very partial to Beavertail as it was my first HL that I bought. Fished off those rocks for years and enjoyed almost every minute of it.

I'm trying to figure that problem out, Bert. They are uploaded to "MY FTP SPACE". Maybe I should go back and re-enter them again.

If you see little red X's instead of pics on the above post...standyby!

P.S. A few minutes later: I figured out that I left something out of the file name..stand by for a dope slap! OUCH!!!

Whatever you did to fix the problem, everything came out real nice. Great pictures. What are you using for a camera? I have a Digital that I like very much.

Hi Bert, ...I use an Olympus D-460 Zoom. Lorna bought it for me almost three years ago and I've had great luck with it. It doesn't have any fancy options but it's easy to use and download. I just wanted a camera to take pics for the Net and eBay. I think she paid around $400 for it but similar cameras now are about half that. The best thing I bought for it was a 64mb smart media card. It stores around 300 pictures.

Great photos. One of my favorites there.

This is a photo from last Srping when a few of us got together to visit Beavertail. The weather was horrible, high winds and driving hard rain. But it was fun. The next day was absolutely gorgeous, and crystal clear. We'll be making the drive again this Spring to Newport.

Marblehead, Mass. Lighthouse, you will always have a very special place in our hearts. ....We've made the journey as far south as New Jersey, as far north as Canada. Over 100 lighthouses visited.... and so many more to go.
