A friend of mine sent me this photo taken on June 21, 2007. Can anyone identify the country he is in? And the lighthouse?

No guesses? It's an island nation.

Iceland
That would be the Knarrarós Light, built in 1939.

Thank you. When you first posted the picture, I thought I had seen that lighthouse on a website somewhere.

The Land Rovers are actually the big clue to the location, at least for Rover Geeks like me. Only the Icelandic set up their Rovers with those huge tyres, and only the Icelandic have such a flair for such fender flares. I think it's because most of the off-roading in Iceland is called "let's plough through a giant pit of mud! Let's do it again!"
Also, any American Rover enthusiast, myself included, would give up a first born child, a soul, and a choice body part for one of those Defender 110s.

Ever seen the movie, "Bedazzled" with Elizabeth Hurley? Be careful what you wish for... No, but I did see "Bedazzled" with Dudley Moore and Peter Cook. Yes, one must be very careful of one's choice of words when dealing with the devil.
