Harbour Lights started off with pieces linked to US Postage Stamps when they launched in 1991.
They introduced the "Stamp Series" when the Postal Service came out with the Great Lakes Stamps.
They missed out on the Southern Lights series of stamps.
I don't think they'll miss the "boat" again and NOT tie-in with the upcoming Pacific Rim lighthouse stamps for 2007.
Since several of the lights in the new stamp set for 2007 have already been made as limited editions, I expect they'll make a series of "Little Lights" packaged together for 2007. That'll keep the cost of each item down and take less space for displaying them.
Questions are: will the sets be limited and numbered? Will they come in a fancier box? Will you be able to buy the set of five at or through the US Postal Service? Will long-time Harbour Lights collectors buy these? Can Harbour Lights actually ship them to dealers by UPS? (Think about it.)
Remember the words of Ripley "Believe it or NOT!

If a set of LLOM's were to be especially made & packaged to honor the upcoming Pacific stamp series, it's also not too late to make a special LLOM package of the Southeastern stamp series.
The Southeastern stamps were Old Cape Henry, Cape Lookout, Tybee, Morris Island, and Hillsboro.
The new Pacific stamps will commemorate Diamond Head Light, Hawaii, Five Finger Light in Alaska, Grays Harbor Light, Washington, Umpqua River Light, Oregon and St. George Reef Light, California.
Make both sets.

MR. Rumor Wrangler I have posted many times on this forum that HL should make more of the special limited edition LLOM. Yes, they should be limited to no more than 500 and if they would dare a 250 production would have many of a collector hopping. I feel this would be very popular with the collectors. The reason is that collectors want something that is not common and not easily obtainable. The small size is very popular since it makes it very easy to display or store. Remember the 2004 Maryland Lighthouse Challenge LLOM. They were very popular and sold rapidly. http://www.harbourlights.com/news/letter/maryland_challenge.htm I also feel that they should be sold in sets. The stamps come in a set, so should the lighthouses. Since these lights will have a lot more attention then the Maryland lights, I recommend at least 500. Now it is very possible that HL could produce as many as 1000 or maybe as many as 1200 but lower the number quicker the sell out and more the excitement over them. If HL decides to make them an open edition, they may well not even waste the collectors time in advertising them and leave them just for the novice and new collectors. I would like to see a order sheet just pop-up on the HL website one day and those that participate and always watch the HL sites will get one. And those that order first will get the low numbers.

I would even buy a set of those and I'm really not into LLOMs even though I have 12 of them(all special to me).

Thanks for sharing some of your inside rumors, Mr Rumor Wrangler. How are things at Area 51? I know that a lot of weird things have been happening there lately. I am glad you were able to take time from your busy schedule. I wanted to email you but I noticed that all email attachments have been removed from your post. Then I remembered that emails are not used at Area 51 since there are no phone lines there and that type of communication is archaic in a place where technology is so advanced. Usually whenever I communicate to Area 51 I use a sub-space transmitter. When I don’t know which building I am communicating too I use a Takion beam and bounce it off the moon. That has its limits since the moon is only in the correct quadrant 7 days in a month. I do have a direct communication system to some friends I have over there. Maybe you know them, ET, Spock and Buck Rogers. Here is a connection to the lighthouse stamps New Lighthouse Stamps

I'm with Bob O. - I agree with Daniel 1000%, too. Area 51 is sooo cool - what with ET, Spock and dear ole Buck! Brings back great memories of going to the movies to catch the latest Buck Rogers episodes. Are we getting old or what!!

In a set packaged in a fancier box. Not available at the post office. (The P.O. has enough to do.) Long time collectors will buy them. HL should be able to ship UPS or USPS, their choice just like anyone else MY question however is will we see these in the same time frame as the stamp release in June? Judy

If they're limited, and LLOM sized, and in a set, and reasonably priced, I'll buy em! This is right up my HL alley!

Since the post office already sells gift items, why not Harbour Lights. It could bring in some new collectors.

For those wondering just what the remaining "Limited Edition" will be for Harbour Lights this Fall...
...You probably need to look no further than this rumor. Not ONE LE, but FIVE in a matched set??
Wonder what the edition size will be?

Sounds like the're not true LE's, as in regular size. Probably more limited LLOM's.
But doesn't four of the five count as REDO's ???

yes, I would buy this set too! With pleasure! We started out as lighthouse stamp collectors and then started collecting HL. So this would make the perfect combination! Would like to see a full size of the Alaska Light! And that I agree with 150% too!!! So far - if I'm not mistaken - there is only one Alaska light been turned into HL. Time there was another I think!

I will pass again on the limited LLOM's. I was hoping for an LE. I'll save my moola for next years models. I would have rather them make an LE of Five Fingers, AK, to commemorate the five stamps.
