Received a letter from HL today addressed to the Colorado Lighthouse Society, no mention of the Society piece, but the Event and Regional pieces for this year are:

Event: EL Morro Puerto Rico(HL693) I think we already knew about this one. But the next is a surprise...
Regional: Admiralty Head WA (HL694)

Letter says to check the HL website for Event locations and dates.

Letter also says that for the June releases there will be 7 LEs, 1 GLOW, and 1 Anchor Bay.

Did I hear a hint back a bit ago that the Anchor Bay piece this year could be the USCGC Mackinaw (WAGB-83)? That would be so...ooo cool!

Why do we have to have several versions of the same lights?! I have said before that it would be so much better to have models of lights which haven't been made before. At least Admiralty Head was not made in the Christmas version. I buy all the Christmas models and hate it when I end up with two versions of one light.

I can hardly wait for Big Mac to come out. What a thrill.

I could wait forever for Admiralty Head -- no problem.

Less than 30 days left in the Society Year. Any hints yet? (ends 04/30/06)

Will there even be a 2006-2007 HL Society Year? ...that's a better question.

Yes there will be new Society Lighthouses and while I can't give you any hints, I really like the looks of both pieces!! I would imagine they will be announced at the same time as the next legacy which will be real soon...

Sworn to double top secrecy!!

No longer a rumor - the 2006 Society pieces are shown on page 17 of the latest Lighthouse Depot catalog - It is: The 1st Boston Harbor Light as the Society exclusive; the "free gift" is Mussel Bed Shoals Light, Rhode Island.

So now that the cat is out of the bag. Can you post a picture of the Mussel Bed Shoal Light for us Paul ???

OK maybe its just me..... but the keepers house doesn't look like it was built in early 1700.

Sounds like a cool offering. The Boston Harbor sounds like part of my proposed "Colonial Collection" that I suggested years ago (though I'm sure that this isn't because of that), with LLOM replicas of all 17 or so Colonial lighthouses.

Mussel Bed Shoals...have to refresh my memory on that by checking Jeremy D'Entremont's site. I think it's kind of like Bullock's Point? confused (Will check.)

Best part is, the HLCS lives another year!

Go to www.Lighthousedepot.com, type in "mussel bed shoal" in the search, and both the freebie and the Boston light come up. Check out the lantern room on the Boston light.

I like the Mussel Bed Shoals" gift, its a nice little "quirky" light.

As for the 1st Boston Harbor Light, the finial at the top of the lantern room is a nice touch with directional arrow and detail.

Nice to see New England representated again for the Society Pieces! ...no where's the seahorse?

MBS will be a welcome addition to any HL collection. Because it's so different, it will be a real eye-catcher. I like it!

The Boston Harbor lens is pretty cool! I agree with Chris and Bob; I like "quirky", little lights because they are "eye-catchers".

Oooh....now I remember Mussel Bed Shoals (always makes me think of Mussel Shoals recording studio in Alabama, where Paul Simon recorded a bunch of stuff in the 70s). It's a cool light, very small. I remember it from the LOST LIGHTHOUSES book.

Boston Light's really cool, too. Only thing I'm curious about...is that a period lens? I thought they had the spidery chandeliers back then. confused
