While picking up my Herefort Inlet piece today, my Dealer told me that Ft. Washington will be a HL 2001 release. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

>>Where the heck is Fort Washington?<< We've got the greatest information resource in the history of mankind at our fingertips. Bob, take your helmet off, click the search button on your browser, then type in 'Fort Washington lighthouse'. The first result you see may be this one: Fort Washington Light When the poster is named 'Chesapeake Bryan' you could bet he's not talking about the West Coast. :-) Welcome to the forums, Bryan! Thanks for the links everyone. Brings back a lot of memories. My folks had a slip for our boat at the Fort Washington Marina on the Potomac. The light is a little thing, but did it's job and we were all very proud of it. That is also the time I fell in love with boating, and joined the Coast Guard as a result. I remember many days cruising up and down the Potomac with the light in view, and seeing the Presidential yacht when she was still being used. I do hope the dealer had some reliable, inside information! Tim - Keeping the flame lit...

Thanks for all the links and info....I took my mother and aunt on a holiday to this neat light. I kept laminating the fact that when I lived in Alexandria(years before) I wasn't aware of the many lights that were nearby. The fort and other historical buildings really are well kept and the grounds are too. I will be glad to add this to my collection. Derith

I've hear rumors that some little lighthouse is being developed for the 2001 Rep Events. Perhaps this is the destiny of Fort Washington?
There will be a different lighthouse for Bill Events in 2001 as there has been for 2000.

When I was in Baltimore working for 3 months a couple of years ago I sought out every lighthouse I could find. Sure never saw any mention of this one. I'll have to go see it when we're back there for the reunion!
