Boone Island, ME will be out in June, it's the choice of last year's winner. Looks to be an interesting piece.

Where is this light? Can't seem to find it in NY. Closest I come is Boon Island, Maine which is near York, Maine. Any more info out there anywhere???? [This message has been edited by jchesher (edited 05-05-2002).]

Very interesting... Mombo sent me a postcard of Boon Island, Maine, for PC #10. The card claims Boon Island Light is the tallest lighthouse in Maine at 137 feet high. Have they released the dimensions of the HL sculpture yet? Will the sculpture be a really tall HL like the LE's of Tybee and Ponce? Bring back some tall towers! Bob

Now that's one that I'm very interested in seeing. Maine is getting a workout this first half of 02. GREAT! Bert

Yet another dream come true from Harbour Lights! I wonder if the buildings are included? I believe that they were destroyed in the 70's. This one would be a nice then and now issue. Terry

Sounds like a good one. I think there have been a few people looking for this one for quite a long time! Here's a picture! [This message has been edited by Randy Kremer (edited 05-06-2002).]

Just got my Legacy and saw part of the Boone Island piece that is coming out. BobM. It sure looks like a tall one from the little they show us. If there are any buildings not seen in the picture. THIS WILL BE A TALL ONE!!! Bert

Boon Island Lighthouse can be seen from Cape Neddick "Nubble" in the far distance. It's tower is 133 feet tall (137 focal plane), so it must be way offshore from my personal viewing. Love those tall towers! - Bob

Thank You HLs!! I was totally AMAZED when I saw this Maine lighthouse listed (photo) in the Legacy, despite its typo. I guess us lighthouse lovers know a lighthouse by its looks as I recognized it before I read the caption. I almost jumped out of the chair while I was reading this. My wife thought I was having a seizure. People surely kept the lid on this one, as I have not heard a peep about this in the works for the past 2 years. I guess "mums" the word for certain lights. It appears in the photo that the "rubber-band/elastic pony-tail hair holder" technology as previous used on the Monomoy Point, MA (HL 269) will be used on the Boon Island for its quy wires. I can always use another Maine light and there are surely many more to replicate in the HL line. Well, I guess here is another light that will packed very carefully, loading on the moving truck, and will be making the long journey back home to "Maine"! Woo Hoo... I can't wait.... (Finally, I'll be closer to Owls Head, ME) Christopher

Still no Legacy here in C.A. (Central Alabama). The yearly goodie arrived last week - really nice, as are the pin & print. It'd be nice to read that Legacy y'all guyz (southern dialect contaminating my Brooklyneese...) keep talking about...

Legacy? Legacy? Boy am I dumb! I had to think about it for a few minutes, then Duh! I remembered receiving mine a while back, Boone Is. looks like it will be a great LH to have. I'll be contacting my dealer to reserve one for me. John, How long have you been in 'Bama? If you need some translation you just holler now ya hear For the rest of the foreigners out there that don't speak "Southern" remember John has used "Ya'll properly. Ya'll is never used to refer to only one person, it always a group. MelJB
