OK ... so I'm only going to reveal one of the Replicas, today!
Introducing....

HL383 Egg Rock ME $75.00(MSRP) edition size of 1200

A square, stubby brick tower rises through the center of an 11/2 story wood frame Keeper’s dwelling lit on November 1, 1875..Egg Rock marks the seaward approach to Bar Harbor the gateway to Arcadia National Park. The original lantern was a Fifth Order Fresnel Lens with a fixed red light.
Considered by the United States Coast Guard to be “the ugliest lighthouse in Maine” the looks of the light were further disfigured, in 1976, by the removal of the lantern room and the Fresnel lens with the installation of back-to-back aero beacons. In 1986, answering the public demand, the USCG refitted the tower with an octagonal aluminum lantern and a protective balustrade on the service gallery.

As always Harry's attention to detail is extraordinary!

More to come.... early next week!

I like it a lot. Love that boat ramp. It's steep enough for an amusment park ride. Great detail.

Nice, nice...

But I think that boat is facing the wrong way. ANy boater would want the bow to hit the water first, not the transom -- or you'd get swamped.

Designed for a quick launch for life-saving?

John, maybe they just returned from saving somebody. After they rested, they went outside, turned the boat to be ready for the next quick launch. wink

Amazing looking piece!

The detail is incredable !

Nice size piece, my guessamit is it's about 7 to 8 inches long, and about 5 to 6 inches high.

Thank you Harbour Lights !!!

Absolutely AWESOME!!!!

After begging for this for nearly a decade, the Egg Rock light is now part of the Acadia Lighthouse series ...(with the Bass Harbor light and the Isle Au Haut LLOM light). THANK YOU to Harry for such a great sculpture, to HLs for making this replica, and to Paul for his wonderful closeup photos.

OK, now that my heart rate has slowed down a bit, I am still campaigning for the WINTER HARBOR, MAINE lighthouse, also know as the Mark Island light by the locals. This too is considered an Acadia light located in Frenchman's Bay between Mount Desert Island (MDI) and the Schoodic portion of Acadia National Park. A rendition of how it looks right-now with SNOW would be awesome!

Egg-celent piece! Thanks Again.

Just as fire fighters clean their equipment when they return the firehouse before doing anything else, the boat would have been turned around first, then they could rest. tired

Hmmm. I'm thinking production change and a variation? LOL

It is 4 inches tall and 8 1/2 inches long at it's longest point.

Maybe they had it bow forward to do some work on the bow, John.. Since the oars are still laying in the boat and not stowed away, I will go along with Loon that they just got back and hadn't had a chance to turn it.

I doubt there will be many production changes any more with the smaller production sizes.

Having just seen this light in September, I must add it to my collection! Have to find a new dealer first, since Colorado Stationers has closed their doors. frown

Then we should all take a peek on the LHD website to see the 8 new releases.

Edited in: or the Bronze Lady website, Cape Annie's should have them soon, as well!

Wow! They are on Lighthouse Depot before other dealers? (no, they are not $18.88...)
When I emailed TC within the last week or so, he said the "where" would be Harbourlights.com Not there... though....

They sure look great. Hopefully my local dealer will be able to post soon to take my order.

Wow !! I can't believe I hit it right on the nose when I picked my #1 guess of Maplin Sands for the International Light that was instrumental in lighthouse construction techniques.

I also love the Anchor Bay selection of the Lighthouse Tender Narcissus. All in all, the first half of 2010 has NO LOSERS, they are ALL WINNERS. The only one that I am not sure about is the 1876 Centenial Expo. I'd like to read the history behind that one.

Paul - When you photogragh the Narcissus, will you please provide the maximum dimensions (L x W x H) so I can figure out if I already have a case for it or if I'm going to have to order one. I would appreciate it.

You will need a special case with some special measurements that I will give you.. You will need to think Narcissus plus Stratford Shoals..

Paul - Are you saying that the 2 pieces should be (have to be) displayed together as an interlocking display? If that is true, give me the overall maximum dimensions together and also give me the Narcissus dimensions separately if you would.

Since it is already up at Lighthouse Depot...

I would state it that you "can display together".. They fit together nicely. It's how I am going to display them. It's how Harry designed them to be displayed!

I am going to shoot the close-ups of the 1876 Expo piece later today and post them and some history behind the piece at that time, Rich..
