I was getting some information today about when to expect some of the new 2005 lighthouse releases to start shipping and I found out the following.

St Augustine Regional Event Piece will be HL676. I realize that this is no big deal and everyone already knows about the St Augustine piece.

The in-store event piece is news. It will be HL677 and will be Fourteen Foot Bank Lighthouse from Delaware. It is a caison style light and from the picture I pulled up from Lighthouse Armchair Tour DVD it is pretty nice.

Just thought that I would pass this on.

Interesting looking light Rich. I looked it up on the lighthouse database. Should be interesting as it is somewhat different from the regular type of caisson.

The rumor came from Harbour Lights Customer Service. Hopefully they know what they are talking about.

For those who can,

The Dealware Bay Cruises out of Cape May are excellent ... they get you close and they feed you well ... what a perfect combination ...

We've taken that cruise, and I agree, it is a great trip up the Delaware Bay, good narration, and as you said, "great food". I'm looking forward to adding this piece to our collection.

Great Shot of the Light.

Have been on another cruise that went to these lights several years ago with several retired CG who had served at this light.

Can't wait to add this local light to the collection. laugh

I think those seagulls are a great idea! How
about maybe a dolphin in the water?

All I get is a tiny red "x" in the upper left corner of what I suspect is a photograph. Any thoughts on what the problem may be?
Thanks,
Sandy

Sandy, when that happens it is sometimes simply because the page did not load correctly on your computer. Hit the refresh icon and let it reload. If that doesn't work, you can sometimes click the "x" and get the picture to appear.

Quick Quiz: Which Harbour Lights sculpture(s?) have seagulls or other birds on them?

It is a nice looking light but I won't be buying it if it's got a 9-inch footprint...wish HL would go back to the days of "Sunken Rock"-sized event pieces...

Rock, I think that Sunken Rock piece was life size. laugh

I think FFB would be a great event piece. It's different, not a regular stereotypical Caisson light. The Delaware Bay is rich in unique Caisson lights. This is going to be a greeeat HL!

I want to go to a signing or something in NJ this year, and if so, I might buy this piece, even though I don't collect. I'll need SOMETHING to get signed. laugh

Just wondering!!!
Is there anything out yet about events, in-store, another regional other than St.Augustine? I haven't seen anything yet.
Sis and I will be in Fl. at the time of the St.A event. We will probably attend but aren't sure yet.
I kind of like the look of FFB and would like to get it if I knew when/where events might be scheduled.
We have a lot of LH trips planned for the next year and it would be nice to know HL's event schedule.
I know the WACKO NATION will have the needed info! laugh laugh
Thanks,
Rick

I was very happy to here that the in store piece would be from my tax free state of Delaware. After all the Delaware pieces last year I thought it would be quite some time before we saw another one. laugh

Rick,

If you are a member of Harbour Lights Collector's Society, they send out a list of all of their dealers with phone numbers, and the dates and places of their events (instore and on-site) 2 or 3 times per year. I would think that they should be starting again in March so the list should be mailed before the end of the month. I can ask Becky at HL when the mailing goes out.

bigbird,
Thanks for the info!!! I am a member of the Collectors Society but don't recall seeing anything for this year yet. Even checked the HL web site. Guess I just get anxious when discussions start here on the Forums. I'll be looking for the announcements.
Knew I could count on the WACKO NATION!!! cool

Rick,

The answer I got was that the Lighthouse Legacy Vol 12, Issue 1 will not only preview the 2005 Society piece, but will include the list of in-store and regional events for at least the first 1/2 of the year.

I bought two 18-gal. totes from work at 2/$7 and saved a bunch of the bubble wrap-type bags for transporting my unsigned lighthouses to the closest in-store event (which, if like last year, will be in July I believe).

Can someone tell me when "Lighthouse Legacy Vol 12, Issue 1" should be out? I should have some idea as to when that happens, but believe it or not I don't know. I would guess around the end of March or early April.

I'm not sure when it is put out, and Becky wasn't looking to "sink any ships" with her lips (and the little info she gave), but I would assume that it has to come out quarterly so it should be out in March, but according to Judy's site thast I was at last night, they already have an in-store signing listed (in March I believe) in Nags Head, NC, so it would have to come out before they (the Younger's) hit the road wouldn't it?

I know the St. Augustine Regional is March 19th so it will have to be before that.

I've heard through OBLL that Bill is to be at The Lighthouse Gallery on March 26th. I checked with my dealer here in Virginia Beach, "Sandollar" and they do not have any dates yet. Bill usually comes by every year.

I've got to change that info on our site.

I got an email from the Lighthouse Gallery in Nags Head, and they said that now it's NOT going to be that weekend; they haven't been given a new date, and they THINK it may be sometime near the end of April or the first part of May.

Guess we have to wait, watch and see. Sure makes it hard to make plans, when there are lighthousing events going on all over the place.

If I hear anything else from them, I'll let you guys know.

Judy

I guess that's much better than not having lighthouse events at all.
