Very interesting...

If this information is confirmed, 2003 will be off to a great start.

All the Floridians should be extremely happy. Southeast Block on the move? I would be happy with that. I can't wait to see Mr. Brady's photo work on these pieces.

Six from Florida will be nice for the Floridians in our midst. It's a part fo the country that hasn't had that many in the past that I can remember. Now we need some confirmation to this list.

SE BLock on the move would definitely be nice, but I would have prefered the North Light.

Its CONFIRMED !!

The cats out of the bag.

Many of these lights are absolutely AWESOME !! I really like the Chicamacomico LSS and the creative replica of Colossus of Greece. The sliding Block Island is another awesome creative replica with sliding mechanism. GREAT job HL for the first half of 2003.

The silent sleeper, Oak Island, NC has finally made its presence. I guess now we need the Ocracoke Glow to finish off the NC Glow set! So, now Ocracoke is snoring....... (but for how long?)

However, A lot of us out here were (and still are) banking on Owls Head, ME and Indian River LSS, DE this year which are not listed or shown as part of the first half of releases. Please don't let us down! I just can't wait for another whole year!! Well, at least I got one LSS out of the bunch!

So now all we need to know are the first half of 2003 releases for the LLOM. Anybody heard anything?

wink wink wink

A victory for the South. A huge disappointment for the West Coast.

And now...scans, anyone??

Pinch me quick because I think I may have died and gone to Lighthouse Heaven. I just cannot believe my eyes that they have remembered the State that cannot enen count the votes. We must be forgiven, at least by Bill and Harbour Lights, to have gotten all these limited editions. During the time that I'm basking in the sunshine I won't even say anything bad about those nasty GLOWS that popped into the picture.

Question: Where did you folks see the pics of the new lights? I just checked the HL website and didn't see anything there. Do you have the latest Legacy already?

Haven't heard of anyone actually seeing pictures of the new lights, but I wasn't expecting the news until tomorrow or Wednesday. So maybe there are pictures somewhere. Life is full of surprises. I can't help but have wished for more from the NOrtheast, but we've been treated very fairly up here and I'm happy for others who made out this time.

If you go to www.google.com and click on images and then type in the name of the lightouse, several images will come up. Sand Fla. is one big lighthouse, I can't wait to see the collectable.
Just alittle tip if anyone is interested!

Wow! Boy do I feel lucky! Being from a state that only has 30 lighthouses and having so many of them made into Harbour Lights!! smile

Mayport, FL - I do hope they mean St. John's River (the old one - as it was before the Navy ruined it).

West Point PEI - Cute light, this should help boost visitors to the bed-n-breakfast it has become.

Chicamacomico Life Saving Station NC - For all you LSS loving collectors! Not the one we were wanting, but it is from a very popular LH state and is a really nice building. For more info on the station: Chicamacomico LSS Website

Dry Tortugas FL - I guess they mean Loggerhead Light, since Fort Jefferson (also in the Dry Tortugas) has already been done.

Sand Key FL - I would have rather Fowey Rocks (my favorite of the Reef Lights), but still a nice choice, very detailed. If it is only half as nice as the American Shoals Light they did, then it will still be beautiful.

St Joseph Point FL - Wow! How in the heck did they get the Raffield's to agree to this? The current owners of this little lighthouse allow people to take pictures of their light (from the end of the driveway), but only under the condition that the picture will not be used for any type of profit.

Anclote Key FL - Wow! Wow! I hope that this will be of how the light was, with Keepers Quarters, Oil House, etc; and not how it is currently (in very sad shape). I also hope that a small portion of the profits will go toward the organization (Gulf Island Alliance) that is helping to restore this forgotten light. smile What a win for the Tampa Bay Harbour Lights Collector's Club!!! laugh

Half Moon Reef TX - Cute. Nice win for the Texans.

Pharos Egypt - OOOOHHHH! One of the Original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World (the last to fall of the six vanished wonders) - A tribute to the father of Lighthouses everywhere - nice addition to the collection! More info: Pharos Lighthouse

Colossus Of Rhodes Greece - Also one of the Original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Interesting addition, he'll have to be placed next to the Statue of Liberty - finally a boyfriend for Lady Liberty! laugh More info: Colossus of Rhodes

St Clair Channel (Set of two)in store event - As they originally were or as they are now? Hopefully this will boost interest in these forgotten lights that are in need of help. For more info on these lights go to: St. Clair Channel Lights

SE Block Island on the move 10 year anniversary - Hasn't this one been over-worked now? They already have 6 different versions of this one - LE, GLOW, GLOW Revised, Thumbnail (LE), Ornament, and LL.

Hillsboro FL GLOW - I bet this will be a lot smaller than the original LE.

Yaquina Head OR GLOW - I bet this will have a lot more detail than the original LE. Though I guess the originals have their own personalities.

Oak Island NC GLOW - Hmm! I wonder how they will be able to improve on this one. The LE is great.

To read about and see pictures of the Florida Lighthouses, here is a GREAT site: Florida Lighthouses

*******

By the way MtnHkr - we have quite a few FL lights made into HL's.

Pensacola - LE & GLOW
Cape St. George - LE
St. Marks - LE
Cedar Keys - LE
Boca Grande (Port Boca Grande) - Society Exclusive
Sanibel - LE & GLOW
American Shoals - LE
Key West - LE & GLOW
Fort Jefferson (Dry Tortugas) - LE
Cape Florida - LE & GLOW
Hillsboro Inlet - LE
Jupiter - LE & GLOW
Cape Canaveral - LE & GLOW
Ponce Inlet - LE & GLOW
St. Augustine - LE & GLOW
Old St. Augustine - LE
Amelia Island - Society Gift

16 HL replicas (not counting Old St. Augustine) already made and only 30 lights. At least we can say we're over half way there. laugh

Let the Southern Lights shine!!! cool Though I would like to see some lights from Alaska; Maybe for the Fall/Winter Collection.

I think that the one of the main reasons for the SE Block Island on the move lighthouse being done is to draw attention to the fact that major funds are still needed to save and restore the lighthouse...

Another reason is that they did the Hatteras on the move lighthouse as an event piece and it was very succesful as far as sales...

Block Island's Southeast Lighthouse is also very well know to the public in general much like Hatteras and Portland Head..

I just hope they get the doors and windows correct on this version since it hasn't happened yet!
