Well as mentioned in another thread, it may be Conanicut Light in Jamestown RI. It is a red building with white trim so it would fit right in with the Christmas colors. Remember this is rumor and not fact at this time.

In that same thread, it was mentioned that Bill had been out there - taking pictures, I think?

Try visiting this website:

Then when you pick yourself up after ROTFLMAO,

click on "my profile" top of this page and click on "View/Update My Profile".

Scroll down about half way and you can pick out an Avatar from the 'standard ones' there.

If you can pass the 'how to upload pictures' test, you can create your own avatar or someone will rescue you and offer to create one for you.

Animated Avatars carry a $10 a month tax. Personal avatars (in good taste, of course) NC.

gotcha, Debbie. But you could register that domain name for under $10 at www.LighthouseDomains.net (No, not kidding this time.)

It might be fun to register a domain in the name of your child or grandchild - like registering a star -- only cheaper.

I just saw the list for the new releases-Bob you were right on the Christmas Piece. Thanks! Now I just need to research that light and wait for pictures to appear on Harbour Lights.

Fran and I were just at Conanicut when I went on the NELL cruise the weekend of 6/3. Pouring down rain, but still a VERY pretty spot! Will HL be creating the light with the lantern room, I wonder? I'll try and post a shot tomorrow. Still finishing up a wedding I did before the trip.

Jen, just checked my E news from Harbour Lights and they did do it with the lantern room. It lights up like Marquette Harbor. Look forward to a picture that you took! smile

Sure hope Don will listen to us about the durned light. Paul, do you have a photo showing where they put the receptacle this year? Sure hope it's not another poorly placed one. The Christmas lights are so beautiful without the bells and whistles. I realize there is a demand for all that; maybe they could make a more limited version w/o all the stuff for those of us who prefer the old HL lights. Is anybody listening? Pleeeaze! smile

All I have is the above angle, Harry sent me the paint samples to shoot the images of the Summer releases for HarbourLights.com and I had to return them to Harry asap..
The lighthouse is very nicely done and looks nice from both sides, I chose this angle to shoot it, with the Christmas 2006 flag in front and it also showed the height, different buildings, Christmas lights on tree and the shoreline involved on the sculpture..

It looks very nicely done. I like the added touch of lights on the pine tree. I know back in the day-they didn't have those, but seeing that it is a private residence now...maybe they do. I know I would! Thanks for the picture!! smile

Thanks, Paul. Hopefully, the receptacle is on a side which we can hide.

The latest Christmas offering will be welcomed into my collection. I pass Conanicut Light every time I head out of Narragansett Bay heading for Block Island or Long Island. It is a local light that many people are not familiar with because of the lack of a lantern room.

I too wish it was built under the old format without the rubber feet and the ability to "light up". I'll still take it though. It's always nice to have another local light made by Harbour Lights.

Debbie, here are the promised shots - I haven't had a chance to finish my CT and RI lights yet, so here is a sneak peak!

That piece looks way awesome...we were going to skip this lighthouse due to time constraints but ended up taking a wrong turn off the bridge onto the island and figured out we were going north instead of south to Beavertail and decided well, let's see Conanicut! Well worth the detour... laugh

From the beach (which is marked private, but it was raining and NO ONE was around...

The house from the street.

And the house with garage...check out the rhodenderon!!

Jen- I agree with you...well worth the detour! As always-awesome pictures. Thank you so much for sharing! These shots give us something to compare the new Christmas piece with. Looks like Harbour Lights did a super job. Looking at these pictures makes you wish that you were the one living there. I love the setting and the gingerbread trim. Thanks again and look forward to more awesome pictures in the future!! cool

Beautiful pictures and lighthouse! Can't wait to add to the Christmas collection. I can't keep up with the rest of the HL LE's, but I will continue to keep the Christmas collection intact.

I don't think that it looks exactly like last years-there are differences. Marquette is red and this year's light is brick red for one. I agree that they should go back to the old format and delete the blinking light. Maybe they could use the blinker for GLOWs to differentiate from LEs. That might also entice the person that wants a piece to use it as a rememberance of the light they just visited!

The two sculptures do have some similarities, the rocky shoreline/cliff, the water, red house and white snow but Conanicut has a lot of differences and Rock before you decide, you need to see it in person if you can.... it is really done well!!

Great pictures, Paul! Obviously, a few of us are still here, but it sure has been quiet with most of the gang already on the way to VA. I'll be leaving early Thursday morning. cool

It will go into my collection for sure, but I will have to beef-up the electric panel. Nice pic's.
