I'm going to start my own rumor here...I asked Bill at Chicago if this series was dead and he seemed a bit baffled before responding that the initial idea for the series was Nancy's and she's (they all have) been too busy to corner for an answer! But he seemed willing to entertain the idea of a Great Lakes line in the near future (long overdue IMO)...so I'm keeping my eyes peeled! Anyone else prefer these over the LLOM's?

I can't say that I prefer them but I do like them very much! The Great Lakes would be the natural choice for the next set and I look forward to seeing these produced in the future.

Actually, Rock, they could do 5 sets of GL spyglass lights! Or, at least an Eastern, Western, and Michigan set!

I'm sure another Spyglass Series would be a good seller if the edition size was kept low. Bob

I agree with Dave.....a multiple "Great Lakes Series" would be great!! I think they would be a big seller....

Thanks, John, I was only testing you. Honestly, I did forget (brain cramp) the Spyglass Series was an OE, probably because I never see them on dealer's shelves. Does this occur because they are not as popular as other HL models? Are there any numbers available on how many of the other sets were sold? Bob

Question: Can spyglasses be sold individually? I have normally seen them sold as the set, however I ran across a retail dealer this weekend that surprised me, as they were selling them individually for $11.00. Never seen this done before in any of the other retail dealers. Christopher

I would "welcome" a set or two of the Great Lakes Spyglass Series!
Ideas: A set of: the Great Lakes Stamp Set.
Another idea: Round Island, Old Mackinac Point, St. Helena, White Shoal.
More ideas:
Sets featuring Lake Michigan lights, Lake Superior lights, Lake Erie lights, Lake Ontario lights, Lake Huron lights...

Christopher,
I have seen one or two stores that break up Spyglass sets to sell them individually. BY also carries some with him to use as gifts for kids at signing events.
