We have only been collecting 2 years and this is our first reunion. Anyone have any pointers, helpful hints, etc. etc.

Harbour Lights usually has a very full day planned each and every day. You will be on the go from the time you get up in the morning until you fall into bed. Plus the added enjoyment of meeting all those other wackos who also collect Harbour Lights. Hope to meet you in Baltimore.

Welcome Bonnebert - All the collectors (and some of their spouses) you meet at the reunion will be about as 'Wacko' as you are for Harbour Lights.

Just so you know can put a face with the names you see on these forums, I'm sure someone will be making up a special 'Connected Collector' name badge with each person's Screen Name.

All we ask is that you be a registered user and signed up on the threads that list who's going to be there so the badges can be made ahead of time.

Who's doing that? DaveH? Should we ask for a small donation for the materials?

Several possibilities here, John. We could look at doing some type of ribbon to attach to one of the badges that HL will provide. However, a ribbon would be somewhat difficult to personalize. Other chooice would be to do a badge similar to what I have done for the trade shows the past couple of years.

I think that we should also make this a lighthouse fundraiser and ask some donation. They will cost around $.75-$1 to produce. I would say ask $5 per badge. Either combine the funds from this with the St. George Wacko pin money or pick a Chesapeake light to give to.

Just some thoughts. Let's have some input. Is there an interest in this?

Dave

Sure glad we're not the only ones who will be attending a "first" reunion. We've been told we should have lots of empty space in our luggage for souvenirs, lots of film (and/or disks for the digitals) and good walking shoes. Another reminder - don't forget your lighthouse passport, if you have one.

Sounds like a good idea Dave. I'd be for spending a little more for a "special" reunion souvenir as well as helping a lighthouse.

Count me in Dave. $5.00 for a badge to help support an endangered light sounds good to me. Better start a thread to accumulate orders

Nice idea Dave but my contribution budget is tapped out. The reunion is enough of a strain on the budget. Please count me out and do not create a name tag for me. I have the one you made for me earlier in the year. Thanks!

Yes, Dave I have that name tag from Chicago, plus a couple from the year before but I could send you a small contribution.

Dave,

Count us in for the badges. We liked what you did at Navy Pier and the cost is fine with us.

Thanks for doing this.

I'm always a sucker for donations to lighthouse, and I will even get something to show for it. Dave, please add my name to the list. I'm not sure where I qualify (WACKO. etc.) but Nana should be able to help with that.

Hey Dave...we have been out of town so I just now saw your post about badges....we would love to have "two of those stinking badges"... Just name your price...a suggestion...why not put a picture of Bill & Nancy on our badges since it is their 10th year anniversary...whatever you decide will make me happy...I appreciate you doing it...thanks...

I have a suggestion, since this is my first reunion too. How about some type of designation for 1st timers, and one of the experienced reunioners take on the newbies for the first day to make sure that we don't get lost in all of the wonder!?
