We were kept so busy at the reunion I didn't even think about what lighthouse we were painting. When I got home I tried to find it in the This Little Light Of Mine brochure and didn't find it. Just what was the name of this lighthouse?

This was definifely a challenging and fun activitity however easier to paint than the ornaments at the first reunion. We all have new appreciation for the folks that paint our lighthouses.

I'm sorry to say I didn't participate in the "paint a lighthouse." If it was done with a 4" brush, a roller, or a spray can, I might have done it. I lack the patience and the expertise to work on small items and have them come out looking good.

That was fun, mine looked like the 'Ronald McDonaldland Lighthouse'. I painted it bright yellow with a red roof. LOL. I'm getting bored with my clients' neutral color schemes all the time.

According to the current LLs that are out and available (up to LL#215), Haig Point, SC isn't one of them. Perhaps it may be a future light to come...

Mine doesn't look like this one:
http://www.harbourlights.com/catalog/2000/hl_haig_point.htm

Except for the white parts as I left mine unpainted. The colors of paints offered sure would have given it a much different appearance. While those observed with brush in hand seemed to be having a great time I knew I wouldn't have the patience and chose to spend this time on other activities.

OK, now who's got the guts to post a photo of their lighthouse sculpture? That looked really hard!

With all we had to do I did not have time to paint at the reunion so I brought mine home and will paint later. But those that did they were really interesting

Could it be the Cedar Keys Lighthouse, Florida that is featured on the HL website? I took a second look at the pictures and it has similar features.

It was definitely Haig Point. I stood next to BY for several hours re-packaging pieces and he stated this several times.

Without the paint...it looks like it was in a winter blizzard or fearce storm. Neat! I like it without the paint. A new concept..."lighthouse in a kit with paint", like the art kits that you can buy.

What's the size of this? (Hard to tell in the picture) Is it full size or Litte Light size?

I really enjoyed painting my lighthouse! It took me three hours to paint it. I'm so proud of it that it is displayed next to the real Harbour Lights!!

I could never work for Bill since I lack the patience needed for this. I really appreciated the fine detail that they put into every piece now since I experienced a taste of it myself. It's harder than it looks. Everyone's piece looked great and the artists were having a great time. This was a nice way to spend an afternoon.

The Haig Point is destined to be a Little Light. About 3" high.

Maybe this one will be the elusive #128? Time will tell.

Most of the painting is done on a production line basis. One person paints the black, another the blue, another the red, etc.

There are also specialists who work with 'one-hair' brushes for the very fine lines.

From the ones I saw being painted, you all did a very fine job!!!

Pictures of some of the work will be posted this weekend on HarbourLights.com

I truly enjoyed painting my lighthouse. I tried to do my best but an artist I'm not!
However, I did ask Bill to sign it for me.
I asked him if he would hire me now, and he replied "Definitely Not!"
My friend Geri told him she would go to work for the "Competition." He agreed that would work. JoanieO

Personally, I loved painting the lighthouse. My only disappointment was that they ran me out before I finished. This would be a great new line (hint, hint).

Larry,
Here's the partially completed Ronald McDonaldland Lighthouse I painted.
