Any other Wackos out there collect lighthouse pins. I just started. Bought all the Harbour lights collectors society pins. Now I buy them at the lighthouse I visit. Maybe there would be interest in trading for pins you could not get because the gift store was closed. Any thoughts

There are many out there who collect pins, Fran. Hopefully you will get some interesting responses. And, don't forget the Erie Land Light pin that will be coming out soon for those who ordered an ELL and paid in full.

I collect lapel pins also. One of my most recent
was a pin with both Old Cape Henry and New Cape Henry, if I had, had an extra I could have sold it at the Florida Lighthouse Association meeting. The lady was upset that mine was better than the one she had bought. I find many lighthouses end up with 2 or more pins of their lighthouses. If they look good I will buy them all.

I also collect the pins. Mainly the ones that I have visited, but have picked up others that I like. Fran, I will check to see what I may have in duplicates and get back to you for a possible trade.

Dave,

Received your email relative to 150% increase in price of pins. I think I paid in full for the one ELL I want and qualify for one of the pins. If you cannot find another vendor to make the pins, count me out of the number of pins you order from the original vendor. His increase is unconscionable and I, for one, prefer to have nothing to our group paying an exhorbitant price.

Sandy

Since the lighthouse and pin will raise money for a non-profit organization, any chance the vendor can eat the increase and write it off his taxes as a donation?

I'm not really a pin collector, but I certainly have a lot of HL related pins. It's too bad the pin vendor decided to up the cost of the pins. I suppose we get these types of "curves balls" thrown at us every once in awhile.

Some you win, some you lose, and some are rained out...but you have to dress for all of them. If Dave likes the way way the pins are being done, so be it. It will just be a little less profit at the other end.

 Bob

The information was sent in an email to everyone who has ordered ELL's. If you didn't receive it, plook in your bulk/junk mail folder to see if that is where your ISP stashed it.

The pins will go forward one way or another. My intent was simply to let everyone know why they had not received their pins, something I had expected to have done by now. Frustrating development, but that is life. I am looking at other options, so we will see what develops.

I just found the email in my junk folder. I never look there. Oh well. I'm sure you will do what is best for everyone concerned.
