I plan on bringing my 11 year old daughter (she went to the Providence Reunion too) to the 2001 reunion. I am hoping some others bring their children too. We plan on taking in some of the DC sights before and after the reunion. If I pull her from school, it has to be educational. Would love to hear from anyone else bringing their children.

I have signed up my two daughters to attend the reunion. Heather is 19, and Natalie is 15.

I'm glad to hear other children will be there. The proximity to DC makes it a great opportunity for educational side trips. Jasmine had a fantastic time at the last reunion. Considers Bill a great friend. He was very generous with his time with her. Treated her like the special little girl she is. I hope others bring their children too.

We'll be bringing our little one to the reunion. He / She will be 10 months old by then (due Dec 21 00) Your never to young to start collecting Harbour Lights and visiting lighthouses!

I've always felt that the concept of collecting Harbour Lights is a great family activity. It's never too early to get children interested in some of our greatest historical treasures, our lighthouses. Visit the various lights whenever you can and introduce kids to the adventures that lie within our treasured spots by the sea.

I will be bringing my 5 year old son along. (He will be 6 and in the first grade by next Oct.) Hopefully we can make it educational enough for him to make a report for his class!

We will also be bringing our two children. Connor will be 7 and Caroline will be 4. They are both in love with lighthouses and especially Harbour Lights. Connor has his own collection of LLOM and Caroline asks most nights to see the Legenday Lighthouses video. This should be alot of fun for them, as well as the rest of the adults.

My then 16 year daughter will also be there, sometime. She is also friends with Bill, especially considering she has seen him 4 times this year, in 3 different states. She gave him a seahorse teenie beanie and he made her autograph it for him.

When she arrives at the reunion will depend on whether or not we can "check her out" of school without penalty. May schedule a college visit. As it is now I am planning that she will fly in Friday evening.

Seems like there will be a few children there. Is anyone interested in connecting with other parents? Perhaps we could arrange to have tables together?

I din't register our 14 yr.old son for the reunion. Didn't realize that there would be anyone near his age.

The dilemma is what to do with him if he doesn't come. Don't want to leave a teenager home alone! He hasn't come on vacation with us in two years (Maine & North Carolina), too borrring! Stayed home with his college-aged brother (20). But he'll be back in college during reunion time.

So I made reservations for Wayne & I and figured I have a year to decide out what to do. (We don't have family near enough by to watch him). Worse case scenario, Wayne stays home with him and I attend the reunion alone.

Anyone else have a similiar problem??

Donna

Donna... we certainly understand your problem. Our son David, who is 15, will be coming with us, but will be staying with my parents in Annapolis. My folks basically demanded that he stay with them for some "catching up time." Unfortunately, we are unable to attend the entire Reunion, so it's going to be a fast and furious trip!

Donna, I'm sure there will be others there who will have children along the same age. It'll give your son an opportunity to meet some new friends. Go ahead and register him. There is plenty of time to find out who will be bringing their kids.

I also haven't decided if I am going to bring my kids along (Hannah 8 and Sean 3 1/2 by the time of the reunion) Hannah has attended both past reunions and Sean attended the Providence reunion. I am guessing that there were about 15-20 kids at each of the other 2 reunions.
