OK. So who can name which 4 thumbnails we received at the Reunion? Betcha can't!

To participate you've got to name all 4 in your response.

Speaking of these tiny lights - how many of them are there? Were there 4 for each reunion x 3 = 12? Have there been others made as well? Is there a list of them somewhere? Let's here it for the little guys!

Congratulations to my fellow Arizonan. I too thought it was the Seven Foot Knoll. My inside source corrected me today.

12 Thumbnails so far, 1 more to come - Hereford Inlet which will accompany the Collectors Society version of Hooper.

I'll have the product numbers and quantities posted later this week at HarbourLights.com.

Thanks for the information. I would have guessed Seven Foot Knoll as well. But speaking of these "tiny lights", they are huge compared to those given at the previous reunions (especially San Diego). Does anyone know the rationale for the larger size?

They are larger in the sense that they are broader or thicker. Height wise, they are similar. The original thumbnails were all taller towers, lending themselves to a more "slender" styling.

The Rhode Island ones were, seemingly, longer rather than taller.

The set we received at Baltimore was, in my opinion, unbelievably well detailed for being as small as they are. The style of lights depicted lent themselves to the thicker or broader construction.

What really surprised me was the number of people who did not recognize the lights we were given. I suppose it helps to have "lighthoused" the area ahead of time!

Ok, so there are just 12 thumbnails? These tiny towers are the ones that BY used to give away to kids, right? So the ones he gave away were reunion thumbnails?

How does everyone display them? Having just the four of them I guess I'll just stick them in my little curio with the ornies and little lights that I have (not too many).

Besides keeping them out of reach of kitty paws (they do make a marvelous kitty toy!), I like to display them near their larger counterparts. Of course, this is now made more difficult with the Craighill channel range lights as I don't think they warrant a larger version of themselves.

Also, I thought the first four thumbnails were not given at the 1st reunion, but were just given to kids (or rather some of us bigger kids) at Bill's signings. So, what is the true story?

Bill gave the thumbnails that were left over, after giving each collector at the first reunion a set of four, to kids at signings for most of the rest of that year.

I'll bet that there will probably never be another Craighill - I thought one was enough till I read this thread and discovered that 7 Foot Knoll wasn't! (can I blame it on bifocals??)

I am just completing construction of a 4 foot tall lighthouse "doll house". The upper floor will be the keeper's room, the middle level is "to be determined" and the floor level will be a mini lighthouse museum complete with a 7" tall curio cabinet (I'd like to see that comedy team clean this one!) filled with 12 little thumbnails...13 if I get Hereford!

Now, if I could only get that Fresnel Lens thumbnail - it's on my one-item Christmas wish list to "Uncle Bill and Aunt Nancy"!!

For those good at nit-picky details, are
Craighill Channel Lower Front Range Light &
Craighill Channel Upper Front Range Light
the correct names?

I had thought they were
Craighill Lower Channel Front Range Light &
Craighill Upper Channel Front Range Light

Just curious,
FrankB

According to the National Park Service, the lights are identified as the 'CRAIGHILL CHANNEL LOWER RANGE LIGHTS' with a Front and a Rear light and the CUTOFF CHANNEL RANGE LIGHTS. (cf. NPS )

According to the US Lighthouse Society, Chesapeak Chapter there is the
Craighill Channel Front
Craighill Front
Craighill Light, and
Craighill Upper.
You'd think these folks would be less unclear about the naming.

According to the Coast Guard, there are the Craighill Channell Lower Range Front and Rear Lights and there are the Craighill Channel Upper Range (Cut-off Channel) – Front and Rear Lights. (cf. USCG Maryland info )

From studying photographs and thumbnails, its pretty obvious what we've got. Accepting Coast Guard nomenclature, the thumbnails are:
Craighill Channel Upper Range Front Light
Craighill Channel Lower Range Front Light

Interesting that HL chose to do range lights but not a pair from the same range. Also - these are the first thumbnails without matching LEs. Are they the first American range lights done by HL?

They sure are cute.

They're not the first "range lights" per se - maybe the first FRONT range lights, but Sapelo, GA is a REAR range light. There are probably a few others out there, but this is the only one I know "for sure"
