I opened this topic before, but since we are closer I thought I'd open it again. I am bringing either my 10 yr old daughter or my 5 yr old daughter to the reunion. Who else is bringing children? Can we work out some activities that they might enjoy?

We are bringing our 10 month old Daughter. Driving in from Chicago and spending some time afterwards driving to see all of the Cheasapeake Bay lights we don't see during the Reunion. Some may say we've taken leave of our senses planning all of this with a 10 month old and to them I say....

Yea, your probably right!

I'll give a medal for courage to anyone who will bring a 10 month old to an event like this. She will probably do fine though. Lonnie, we should make sure we connect so our daughters can get together. Jasmine met a friend in Providence and it made the trip so much more fun for her. Though I may bring my 6 year old, my 10 year old is the logical and first choice for this trip.

For activites for children, the harbor area has a great aquarium and science center. I went to both numerous times as a kid on school trips. There is also a zoo in Baltimore not too far away from the harbor. If memory serves me correctly there is a play ground area not too far away from the science center as well.
If the weather is nice and you kids are old enough, try the paddle boats out for a half hour or so. That was always the best treat my parents could give my sisters and I while we were in Baltimore.
If you need more ideas let me know. I grew up in the area and am always going home for the weekend.

Enjoy your trip.

I originaly wasn't going to bring my kids along because the reunion was at the same time as ISTEP testing at my daughters school but we found out that the tests have been moved up a month, So I called HL and added them to our package. So it will be Hannah's (age 8) 3rd reunion and Sean's (age 3) Second reunion.

Cana Fan, We also drove to Providence and Sean was 6 months old for that trip. I have found that a 12 volt TV/VCR combo worked out pretty well and kept them busy most of the drive. Last year we took a 10 day camping and lighthousing trip, I bought a 12 volt converter at Radio Shack for the Nintendo, the kids couldn't wait to get back in the car most of the time. The only fighting was over who's turn it was. So if possible bring the TV and plenty of the little one's favorite videos.
