While it will be hard to keep this 'secret' among so many people, please do not discuss this gift with Bill or Nancy Younger in advance of the Reunion.Steve has completed his beautiful painting of the Eddystone Light painting, we're accepting donations from Forum Members and visitors towards this gift to be presented at the 2001 Collectors Reunion in October in Baltimore. All Forum members and those who only read the Forums are invited to contribute to this gift. Any amount is welcome. Those who contribute $20 will receive a 8" x 10" color print of the original image signed by Steve Ervin. The first 100 will receive a numbered and signed print. The original painting is 24" X 30" unframed. Your donation will go towards the cost of framing the original and making prints as well as a contribution to the Steve for his time and talents. Please make your donation as a check payable to Brady Visual Impact and mail to: Paul L. Brady 6723 W Balmoral Road Indianapolis IN 46241-1744 Prints will be prepared and shipped this Fall. We will post here when they are ready to ship. This gift to the Youngers continues a tradition of 'connected collectors' presenting a gift at the Collector Reunions which started with the presentation of a hand-painted silk tie featuring Point Arena CA in 1997 and a set of Seahorse wine glasses at the reunion in 1998. Sue and I just got back from visiting Digger's digs and picking up the Eddystone painting. Having never been to Bremen Indiana, while driving up US 31 from Indy I spotted what I thought might be his digs.... This proves that the farmers grow more than just corn in Indiana... they can grow a pretty good gravesite too.

What a neat spot. That farmer can't get too close with his plow or he'd be raising more than crops!

Steve's painting is even more outstanding in it's finished form. Details of the men and ship, the gull, and island horizon! I can't wait to see the original in October! Bob

Paul, "last-minute-Stan" here. The check is written; the envelope addressed, stamped, & sealed; and it will be placed in the care of the USPS first thing in the morning. Here's hoping it's one of the 11 before 100.

Nope Dave H has #100 coming to him and the rest are sold here in the forums only, because it is the forum member's gift (the Eddystone painting) to the Youngers... SaintWackoPaul ' Keep the Flame[This message has been edited by engbrady (edited 07-27-2001).]

Digger and I have talked it over and decided that once the last signed and numbered print is taken... there will be no others done. That means that there will only be the 100 signed and numbered made.. plus a surprise that Digger and I have for Bill to go along with the painting at the reunion. I will give the last print one more week and then I will buy it myself if it hasn't found a home by then. That is so that Dave H can have the #100 signed print. Hopefully, this will make the 100 prints a little more valuable for all those who have contributed to this project.... SaintWackoPaul ' Keep the Flame

The last remaining signed and numbered Eddystone print is gone! Pat Palmer-Ball has purchased it... so the Eddystone print is officially retired. 0 to go!SaintWackoPaul ' Keep the Flame

The prints are in the mail... We mailed them Saturday night from the Post Office at the Indianapolis International Airport, it is open 24 hrs a day 364 days a year.. closed only for Christmas and only a couple of minutes from the Midwest Harbour Lights Museum. They should start arriving Monday. SaintWackoPaul ' Keep the Flame[This message has been edited by engbrady (edited 10-21-2001).]

Airport??, must be before the metal detector and searches. I think a person with 90 packages and no ticket to fly would end up on the floor with a shinny boot on their neck in no time flat. Although I do like those hours.

Thanks Paul.
I'll probably get mine last. I live in the area served by the Trenton, NJ Postal Facility. This is the one closed by the Anthrax situation. It's where the letters recieved in NY and DC were processed.
Our mail has been sparse the last few days and they estimate it will be closed for a month.
