A quick question John....Is there a plan to put information on all of the HL's in the catalog pages similar to the detail of 1998 and 1999's catalog? I enjoy the detail those pages provide, like the publicity photo, real life photo and seahorse. Thanks for the great work John.

Boy are you psychic?

I was just writing up today some information on how that might be done.

Certainly we will have an individual page for each Harour Lights lighthouse - simple at first like the 'preview' pages until Paul shoots the detail photos that go along with the 2-page version.

But I'm also planning on a searchable database of all Harbour Lights lighthouses so that you can either view pre-formatted lists - such as by year issued, retired items. But also by regions, styles of lighthouse (towers vs. 'schoolhouse'), bodies of water, countries, states, etc. The individual pages I am shooting for completion by the end of the year.

The searchable listings during the first quarter of 2000.

Any other ideas out there. What would you like to see at www.HarbourLights.com?

Psychic....hmmm my girlfriend always says that too...anyways those ideas sound great John. I understand it will be some work but the payoff, especially for newbies to collecting, will be well worth it I think.

As for other ideas? Maybe a map showing where the lighthouse is located (Not expedia?!) More ideas coming as I think of them!!
Thanks, akmn

Maybe a scan of the back of the new COA's to show the location map for those who haven't bought the light yet.

I'd still like to see a large, slowly rotating image of each piece, showing all sides. Maybe have it open up in a new window on user demand so that it doesn't take forever to download each page.

Wasn't there discussion a while back about showing the weight of each piece?

Also dimensions: could we have 3 (labeled so we know which is which)?

maybe a hot link to the Lighthouse Links page, so you can find info on the real lighthouse.
