As of 7 AM MST, the harbourlights.com website is down. Select net, the hosting company will be notified and hopefully, it will be back up within a couple of hours.

Is the Harbour Lights site still down? I haven't been able to get onto the site today.

As I was on my road trip when I checked this, I couldn't keep constant monitor on the status. I passed the word on to the home office and the web hosting company was able to get it up and running again with minimal down time.

I tried to access several times in the past 10 minutes with no success. Are they having issues again?

Got an email from Jim Awrey of Cape Annie's indicating today was the day. Was it announced earlier and changed?

Catalogs with 2007 photos went to reps last week and should be reaching dealers now.

We lost the Youngers so we lost our best chances at getting advanced info on new releases. Remember how Bill would let something slip by mistake and then deny he said it? Then the three greatest telecommunication tools would spring into action: telephone, telegraph (now the Net), and tell-a-collector. I must admit it certainly gave us a lot more to speculate over. It was fun while it lasted and we all will miss the little "teasers" that were tossed our way. Maybe the new owners should planned some dropped hints now and then without actually revealing the name of the light itself. That would set the wheels in motion for all our lighthouse sleuths. Maybe a hint or two about what region a new light is from or maybe even the area of a certain state. Perhaps a note about coloring or the fact it's on the mainland or on an island. Back to the topic at hand, I was able to access the HL site yesterday with no problem. The December page was still up. Bob

The December page was still up. Last time I checked, it was still December. You borrow one of my off-kilter calendars, Bob?

Bob Though I miss finding out about pre-release info on these forums. I think it is better that first hand knowledge about new lighthouses should come from HL and not from this forum.
Yes Bob the "teasers" idea is a good one. But isn’t that what Dave John and Paul did with the St Augustine Lens? That got our attention that where we want to learn more and be the first to see what’s new.

Back to Bob M's off-topic 'rant' about the lack of rumors. What do you call this?

Bob I also recall there was a Anchor Bay rumor mentioned over a month ago.
Another one of the rumors has just been posted on the Home page of the HL website.

You have to admit there were more rumors in the old days. It certainly added to the excitement of what Harbour Lights was going to be offereing in the near future. We lost our most informative resources for future HL info when two of our most highly respected CF members began performing services for Harbour Lights and took an oath of silence as part of their official duties. All comes to those who wait, and we're waiting but not that much longer. Bob
