Didn't know where to post this however, I got to the chat via the HarbourLights.com link so I'll ask here. What happened, I got bumped from the chat & couldn't get back, saw about 5 people drop just before me.

There was a problem with the Chat Room software and many folks saw a message stating the 'Room is Closed' or something to that effect. About 11:15 Eastern, the problem got resolved and a few us had a chat that was mostly about Paul's cases. (LoL) It was kinda late so it didn't last very long.

Let's try again next week!

I just received word from NCIC over the teletype that Cheryl Spencer Collins was being investigated for the sabotage of the Harbour Lights chat room. There's talk of a TV movie already where we'll all play ourselves. Johnnie Cochran has already volunteered to represent her. Alan Dershowitz has offered to handle her appeal. (It's raining and freezing on the East Coast! What else do I have to do.)

My apologies for the interrupted chat last night. The chat room was 'locked up' - a participant could see the list of those in the room and their own messages, but the messages of others didn't appear.

Using the 'admin console', I closed the chat room, expecting to be able to re-open it and get it moving again.

However, once I closed the room, my ability to be the 'administrator' and reopen the room was lost. (Catch 22).

I called Parachat's help line, which allowed me to have a system operator paged, I left my number. Five minutes later, I got a call and in another 5 they had reopened the room. (I'd call that GREAT customer service!)

So we'll be back next week on Wednesday the 20th at 9 pm ET.

John

That's why everyone should upgrade their Instant Messenger to the newest version 2.0.813 which includes a private "chat room" for as many people as invited/available. John and I were in our own little chat room for awhile while the system was down, but no one else on line had the upgraded IM capabilities to invite in...was a lonely place.

A few more of us got together in an AOL Buddy chat room. You just can't keep a bunch of 'wackos' down. You might separate them for awhile but somehow, they all migrate back together.
