Before it goes away, I wanted to pay tribute to Herb Carpenter's great photo of Cape Neddick that is this week's 'Photo of the Week' at HarbourLights.com.

This is one of those 'magic moments' photos when the sun's glow casts just the right light.

Great shot, Herb! Thanks for contributing it.

Yes indeed. Great shot, Herb. The lighting makes the shot come alive. It almost has a 3-D appearance to it.

Well, Webmaster...I echo your words regarding this picture! Beautiful! We visited this lighthouse before the 1998 Providence Reunion. This has to be on the top of our "Favorite Lighthouses" list!

Great picture, Herb! Congratulations with the pefect timing click!

Outstanding shot! You can never get the true beauty of a picture of Nubble until you have seen it in person. I visited Nubble last year and this picture is beautiful. Thanks for sharing your moment.

I agree the Nubble is such a calm restful place. Most any time you go there you can see people sitting on the benches watching across the water to the light house. I've watched people sit for two or more hours just watching the serene beauty of the Nubble. Bill O'Brien oseabee

Herb's photo of Nubble is wonderful, and brings back many, many memories. Personally, I believe it is my favorite lighthouse. I will always cherish the times spent on the island, and the time my daughter and I "rode the cable." A particular favorite time of year there is during the Christmas season when Nubble is dressed appropriately for the season.

Yeppers, I was impressed with Herb's photo capturing Neddick in a subtle golden glow. Everyone once in a while the lights just right. :-)
