August 8th marks the 4 year anniversary of the launch of www.HarbourLights.com.

It's been a lot of fun for me over these years and best of all is getting to know so many collectors, many of whom have become close friends -- even though most are at a distance. Here's looking at more years to come.

Dennis - it's the Harbour Lights web site that is marking 4 years. The Collector Forums preceeded the official web site by a year or so.

Congradulations to you, the Harbour Lights Web Site and the Collector Forums that you originated. I was browsing at work years ago and stumbled upon your web site after many hours of unsuccessful surfing trying to find information on Harbour Lights. You have done a terrific job and, hopefully, you will continue to lead the parade for many years to come.

I can't believe it has been that long! Congrats, John. It seems like ions ago when everyone met on the AOL collectibles area, then Nico's Forums, then John's Forums, then the official opening of the HL site. Was it in '98 when you started your Forums?

Also a big thanks for allowing collectors to post their photos in the HL gallery section. It was because of that (and Paul's offer to scan my first dozen images in early '99) that I decided to start my own website 3 1/2 years ago. Would have never happened without the offer.

HL sure made the right decision to grab you back then. Congrats!

Like Rod, I remember the old days before the Collectors Forums and HL.com. I still remember how cool I thought is was belonging to John's old HLCIC and paying the few bucks extra for the Keeper's area to get news and information earlier them everyone else at the website. How things have changed...

Congrats on 4 years for the HL website, John. As others have mentioned, you do a wonderful job on that site as well as here with the Forums. HL collectors and lighthouse lovers in general are so fortunate to have resources of this quality and vitality.
