I would like to dedicate post #3000 to my long distance buddy on the west coast, Fred Kuhlman. Fred is a charter member of the collector's society and is one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. Fred has been collecting HL's since the day they came out. In the early days of HL Chats utilizing AOL, Fred had a command presence on the board. He was usually the first one to arrive and the last to leave. Fred was one of those guys that worked hard at keeping things going. I had many mini-chats with Fred via AOL's IM feature throughout the years and learned a lot from him. It was nice to have a connected collector to turn to for advice when I first starting out. Fred was probably the reason I decided to "get them all." So, Fred, you're the reason I'm here. Congratulations Bob! I just noticed that you had your 3000th post. Way to go! It will take me years to even get close to that, but I'm trying to get a little more active on the forums. Now when is that 4000th post going to come! Great tribute by the way to Fred Kuhlman. We had a Fred Kuhlman living here in Bellingham, many years ago. Nice guy also, but I don't think they're the same. Fred, if Bob likes you, you have to be a great guy! Bert

Congratulations on post #3000! A great tribute to Fred as well. While I've not had the chance to meet Fred in person yet, talking with him online in the past has been a real treat.

Congrats on #3000, Bob. And a wonderful tribute to the Ancient Mariner. Fred is not only a great person, he is also quite the "character". Hoping he is able to keep to his plan to join us at Rosemont. Another incentive for all you folks out there to join us at our 2nd Annual Wacko Mini-Reunion to be held in Rosemont!
