The August Calendar has been posted at www.HarbourLights.com. The 'calendar page' features a photo by Rod Watson of South Bass Island Lighthouse with a unique 'water ripple' effect. This effect uses a Java applet. If you don't see ANY picture there, but a grey rectangle instead, your Java is not enabled. If you use AOL and you use AOL's Browser to view the Internet, you'll need to change your settings to enable Java. You can choose to use another browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer (current version 5) or Netscape Navigator (current version 4.5) These are free for the downloading. In my opinion, either of these is FAR better than the version of MSIE that comes with AOL. Neat photo Rod - thanks. John

Great special effect John! And you have selected another great photographer to use. Nice pic and effect Rod! Great picture...and even greater effect! My multiple daily visits to this site never cease to amaze me. The HL site has got to be one of the best on the Internet. How about the new contest!!! I love the ripple effect. That is a pretty lighthouse. I want a HL mouse pad, they are so COOL.

Rod - Really enjoy your work here and rod's photo gallery is awesome.
The contest is great it would be nice to win something, but the ides is special and nice from HL. I will enjoy checking out who has won each day.
