Every once in a while I hear from someone who finds the site hard to navigate. I don't expect I'll hear from them in this thread (they wouldn't have found it) -- but I'd like to hear from those who have ideas to improve the site.

A "Search" function for the site is already in the works.

John,
I wouldn't say that the site is difficult to navigate. What I would say is that there is a ton of stuff there, and keeping it all organized in a way that people aren't overwhelmed is the challenge. For a test of how easy or difficult the site is to navigate, I suggest a test. Get a few users unfamiliar with the site to try to find certain things, like a catalog of products or how to join the society, or find a dealer. As a designer myself, the 'lights' really come on when a novice uses a site for the first time. It's obvious that a lot of time and effort went into the development of this site.
